A Delightful Evening at Hyehwa Lamb Skewers

After enjoying a wonderful performance in Hyehwa, my friends and I were hungry and didn't want to head home just yet.
So, we decided to visit a lamb skewer specialty restaurant in Hyehwa.
Located right across from Marronnier Park, the combination of lamb skewers and Chinese beer is mouthwatering.
This place is known for using only fresh meat.
It’s just a 2-minute walk from Hyehwa Station, and the bright orange lights on the first floor caught our attention immediately.
Inside, the restaurant was almost full, but the ventilation system was excellent, so we hardly noticed any smoke, just the delicious aroma.
Fortunately, we found a vacant table and were promptly seated to order our food.
The restaurant is popular for group gatherings and company dinners.
The wall featured a large menu board with various skewers and dishes to choose from.
The variety of Chinese dishes made selecting appetizers quite enjoyable.
The prices were also quite reasonable, making it easy on the wallet.
We ordered through a tablet, which made it convenient as we didn’t need to call a waiter.
With so many options like skewers, stir-fries, meals, and drinks, it was tough to decide.
We agreed to each pick one dish to share and filled our cart.
The curry lamb skewers were generously seasoned, filling the air with a rich curry aroma.
I was eager to see how they tasted grilled over charcoal.
The skewers allowed us to enjoy the natural tenderness of the lamb, and the fresh meat made it easy to eat.
The lamb skewers are prepared fresh every morning, so there was no gamey smell, and the lean meat was perfectly balanced with fat.
Grilling the skewers over charcoal allowed any excess oil to drip away, enhancing the overall flavor.
The ventilation was right above us, so there was no discomfort while eating; the meat was tender and delightful.
After grilling, we used chopsticks to pull the meat off, and the savory juices filled our mouths with a rich depth of flavor.
The curry lamb skewers had a slightly crispy exterior that was addictively good.
Even a friend who usually doesn’t eat much lamb was enjoying it.
We couldn’t resist pairing our skewers with some Chinese beer, which complemented the meat perfectly.
Next, we tried the lamb ribs, which were meaty and satisfying.
If you prefer a more filling texture, I recommend this dish.
After grilling, we dipped the ribs in a special sauce that combined soy sauce with a spicy kick.
The clean finish and rich lamb flavor made it a perfect pairing.
The next dish was the crispy sweet and sour pork, a favorite among all ages.
Even with sauce, the crispy texture was delightful and satisfying.
The combination of flavors was excellent, and the portion was filling.
We also enjoyed the spicy squid, which had a numbing flavor that paired well with the lamb skewers.
The variety of dishes allowed us to try things we usually wouldn’t order, and everything was well-seasoned.
The shrimp and egg custard was served in a stone pot, with comforting flavors from the broth.
The dish was creamy and packed with flavor, making it a great pairing with rice.
Finally, the dumpling soup was rich and satisfying, with a smooth texture.
The overall experience at Hyehwa Lamb Skewers was delightful, with a variety of delicious dishes at affordable prices.
It’s a great place for a meal or a drink, and I’ll definitely return with friends.
