On the last day of our trip to Jeju, we wanted to end with a memorable meal. We heard great things about a restaurant known for its black pork in Jeju's Jungmun area, so we decided to visit Borum Forest. Upon arrival, it felt like we were invited to an elegant villa in the woods. The ambiance was artistic, and the flavors were fantastic, leaving us completely enchanted.

1. A New Standard for Jeju Black Pork: Borum Forest

The atmosphere at Borum Forest is impressive from the moment you arrive. It certainly leaves a stronger impression than typical black pork restaurants in Jeju. The path leading to the restaurant is lined with stone walls, and behind the building, tall windbreak trees create a beautiful forest. The sight was breathtaking!

Located just a 5-minute drive from the Jungmun Tourist Complex, it’s perfect for a dinner after a day of sightseeing.

Parking is available in a spacious lot that can accommodate over 40 cars, making it convenient for visitors.

2. Entry System & Outdoor Garden

We made a dinner reservation right after the break time. Arriving a bit too early, we had to wait for a short while. During our wait, we enjoyed taking photos in the beautiful garden, surrounded by lush greenery.

On nice days, outdoor seating is available for dining, but unfortunately, it was raining on the day we visited. If you plan to visit during early summer evenings, the cool breeze and sounds of nature will create a romantic atmosphere.

In one corner of the garden, the restaurant's signature smoking grill was in operation, where the meat is partially cooked before being served to guests. Watching this process only heightened our anticipation for the meal.

3. A Jeju Vibe Inside the Restaurant

Upon entering, the interior was peaceful and far from the chaotic scenes of typical barbecue places. It was a perfect environment to enjoy our meal.

The cleanliness was impeccable, and the staff were incredibly friendly, providing top-notch service from the moment we walked in.

4. Menu & Dining Experience

We ordered the signature Seogwipo black pork smoked grill set for two, which included a plate of vegetables and a serving of fried rice. The portion was just right for three people, including a child.

The side dishes were beautifully presented and delicious, particularly the refreshing radish salad that complemented the meal perfectly.

5. Exceptional Seogwipo Black Pork

The pork was expertly cooked and served by the staff, allowing us to fully concentrate on enjoying our meal. Each bite burst with juicy flavor and a delightful smoky aroma that was truly unforgettable.

Overall, Borum Forest has set a new standard for black pork in Jeju. I can't wait to return on my next trip!
