Starting April 15, 2026!

Here’s what will change:

Electric scooters, commonly seen throughout the city,

are convenient but have raised concerns

about pedestrian inconvenience and safety accidents.

To address these issues,

the regulations regarding personal mobility devices in Gimpo City have been revised!

Key changes to the regulations for personal mobility devices in Gimpo City:

✔ Strengthened compliance requirements for rental operators

New compliance guidelines have been established

to ensure the safety of both pedestrians and users.

✔ Increased towing fees for illegal parking

The towing fee for devices illegally parked

near tactile paving and crosswalks has been raised from

15,000 KRW to 30,000 KRW.

※ According to the terms of use of electric scooter companies,

the towing fee may be charged to users, so

please check the terms and parking methods for each rental company.

So, what improvements can we expect?

✔ Reduced issues of unauthorized parking

✔ Decreased inconvenience for pedestrians

✔ Reduced risk of accidents for users and pedestrians

🚫 No Parking Zones

Parking electric scooters in the following locations

will be considered illegal and may result in towing:

✔ Crosswalks and tactile paving

✔ Areas around urban transit entrances

✔ Road sections where the roadway is separated from the sidewalk

🤝 A Safe Gimpo City

A culture that considers both users and pedestrians

Let's create a safer city together!
