I visited a highly recommended restaurant in Mapo, Gongdeok, known for its amazing value.

Here’s my review of Gyeogogi House!

Monday to Friday: 17:00 - 22:50

Saturday: 16:00 - 22:50

Sunday: 16:00 - 21:50

✔️ Parking: Paid parking available nearby

I heard that this place often has long wait times, so I was a bit worried when I visited.

Fortunately, I only waited about 5 minutes!

For reference, I went on a Sunday just after 5 PM.

If you want to avoid waiting, I recommend visiting outside of peak dining hours!

Even at that time, the restaurant was already packed!

The menu offers portions over 270g for around 14,000 to 15,000 won, which is an incredible value!

I ordered one salt-grilled and one seasoned grilled chicken, along with rice balls and spicy cold noodles.

The basic side dishes are self-serve and available for unlimited refills!

The sauce, which resembles Cheongyang mayo, is incredibly delicious—make sure to dip your food in it!

One of the biggest advantages here is that the staff grills the meat for you!

They skillfully grill it to perfection, ensuring it’s not burnt.

The meat is juicy, well-seasoned, and incredibly tasty.

You can really understand why this place is so popular after just one bite!

The seasoned grilled chicken that came out next was visually stunning!

Since it's a popular spot, the dining time is limited to 2 hours.

The spicy cold noodles come topped with chicken breast, and the rice balls have little anchovies inside.

You won’t have to worry about protein!

Even as a big eater, I left feeling full.

This budget-friendly charcoal-grilled chicken restaurant is definitely worth a visit!

The owner pre-grills the chicken, which makes it even tastier!

I had a great meal, and the prices are reasonable.

I’m already planning to return!
