Summer Nights at Norumok Outdoor Theater

Hello!
In August, during the summer nights, the Norumok Outdoor Theater in Goyang was even hotter.
From August 8 to 9, a magnificent performance featuring the cultures of East and West unfolded at the Goyang Aramnuri Norumok Outdoor Theater.
Let me guide you through the performances of the first day.
The Norumok Outdoor Theater is located behind the Aram Theater and the Saerasae Theater, nestled between Jeongbalsan Park.
It consists of seating arranged in a staircase format facing the stage, accommodating approximately 1,000 people.
All seats at the Norumok Outdoor Theater are free, continuing from the 2023 Summer Concert and the 2025 Park Concert.
This year, it was part of the 2026 Goyang World Festival themed 'Spain,' showcasing a blend of cultures from East and West.
The program for August 8 includes 'Tamuga,' a traditional Korean percussion performance combined with contemporary dance crossover.
On August 9, the Spanish Millennium Choir performed Spanish and Korean songs.
The Norumok Outdoor Theater, as part of the 'Goyang World Festival: Spain Edition,' truly embodied the harmony between East and West.
This event also served as the opening ceremony for the upcoming exhibition at the Aramnuri Art Museum in October, titled '20th Century Spanish Masters - Picasso, Dalí, Miro.'
As the evening approached, the theater filled with the enchanting atmosphere created by the blooming Lagerstroemia flowers and red lights.
At around 7:30 PM, the audience began to gather, and the host's appearance marked the start of the performance.
The opening stage featured a traditional Korean wind music performance, setting the tone for a dialogue between Eastern and Western arts.
Throughout the first day, the 'Tamuga' performance unfolded in six acts, intertwining traditional percussion, modern dance, and song.
Performers included Kim Joo-hong and Norumachi, Nomadalt Company, Global Dance Company, and choreographer Alejandro Navarro Barbeito.
The final act featured a lively 'Seoljanggu' performance by Norumachi, showcasing modern dance to the upbeat rhythms.
After a dazzling 70-minute show, the DJ concluded the night with lively music and light-hearted commentary.
Even if you missed the outdoor performance, the excitement continues in October with the exhibition at the Aramnuri Art Museum.
