Hello!

This year marks the 23rd EBS Documentary Film Festival, which is currently in full swing!

Here's a recap of the outdoor screenings at Ilsan Lake Park and some parking tips!

After the opening ceremony on Monday, the actual film screenings began on Thursday, the 27th. I attended the free outdoor screening at the music fountain plaza in Ilsan Lake Park at 9 PM on the 27th.

It was a unique experience to watch a movie while enjoying the night breeze on a beanbag sofa in front of a large screen. It left me with wonderful memories!

The EBS International Documentary Film Festival (EIDF 2026) will take place from August 24 (Monday) to August 30 (Sunday) in 2026, featuring 64 films from 28 countries.

Screening locations include Megabox Baekseok Bellacita, Seoul Film Center, and the 'Singing Fountain' at Ilsan Lake Park.

The opening film is 'YO (Love is a Rebellious Bird)'.

The outdoor screenings at Ilsan Lake Park will take place from August 27 to August 29.

Screening schedule:

- August 27 (Thursday) 21:00 - 22:35: A Song to Protect Our Land

- August 28 (Friday) 21:00 - 22:24: Kindergarten

- August 29 (Saturday) 21:00 - 22:00: Hooray! Wrestling Boys

In addition, various documentaries can be viewed at Megabox Baekseok Bellacita and Seoul Film Center.

For residents of Goyang, there will be a free screening event where you can watch all films for free at Megabox Baekseok Bellacita, but tickets are subject to availability on-site.

Parking tips for the EBS International Documentary Film Festival: If you're heading to the outdoor screening, it’s recommended to use the first parking lot at Ilsan Lake Park as your destination. Arriving during less busy hours will make parking easier, and pre-payment can facilitate a quick exit.

As for the upcoming Goyang Lake Arts Festival, the third parking lot is the closest to the event, but it fills up quickly. The second parking lot tends to be less crowded and is about a 17-minute walk to the venue.

If you want to make the most of your weekend, consider visiting the festival and enjoying some thought-provoking documentaries!

Thank you!
