A warm exhibition is currently being held in Goyang City!
It's the special exhibition 'To a Precious Person' by artist Jeon I-soo at the Goyang Oullim Arts Center.
Jeon I-soo, an artist, writer, and environmental activist, began her journey with her first fairy tale published at the age of eight.
Since then, she has released a total of 19 books, resonating deeply with many people.
Through the pure eyes of a child, her artistic intuition reveals the honesty of the world, transcending age and generations, evoking great empathy.
In her works filled with the language of 'love' and 'solidarity', we find touching moments of comfort.
Exhibition Information:
Special Exhibition 'To a Precious Person'
Location: Goyang Oullim Arts Center, 33 Oullim-ro, Deogyang-gu, Goyang, Gyeonggi-do
Exhibition Period: June 6th to October 4th
Admission Fee: Adults: 15,000 KRW, Children: 13,000 KRW
Special Discount: 10,000 KRW (for war veterans, disabled individuals and one accompanying person)
Parking Information:
Discounted parking for exhibition visitors: 1,000 KRW for 3 hours.
The exhibition is composed of six sessions, each filled with messages of love and kindness from the artist.
Session 1: Delicate Balance
Upon entering the exhibition, the first piece that catches your eye is 'A Mother's Heart'. It captures the back of a mother watching her visually impaired child embark on their life journey.
Session 2: Our Home, and Eternal Companionship
In 'Our Home', the artist depicts a comfortable and beautiful image of home, prompting reflection on whether it truly serves as a space of rest and rejuvenation for the family.
Session 3: Genuine Comfort
The most moving piece is 'Comfort 5', which conveys the message that true comfort often comes from simply being present with someone in their time of need.
Session 4: The Embrace of Love and Family
Here, letters exchanged between the artist and her mother unfold alongside a heartwarming illustration of her children.
Session 5: A Heart that Lasts Longer than Memories
The exhibition features a story about a mother sheep losing her memory due to dementia, now cared for by the grown wolf she raised.
Session 6: Facing My True Self
The final session invites visitors to reflect on themselves, encouraging everyone to embrace their own hearts with kindness.
