When summer vacation with kids feels overwhelming, a water playground in the city offers a safe and enjoyable way to cool off. In Jinju, Gyeongnam, four water playgrounds and six splash pads operate during the summer, and among them, we introduce the largest, the Mulchoo-ul Park Water Playground.
The Mulchoo-ul Park Water Playground features spacious shaded areas, a ferry-shaped slide, and a model of Jinju Castle, making it a large recreational area with plenty of attractions. It is accessible for free to anyone who makes a reservation through the Jinju Integrated Reservation System.
This facility can accommodate up to 330 people simultaneously, resembling a water park designed specifically for children.
Operating Period: July 1, 2026 - August 31, 2026 (Closed every Tuesday)
Operating Hours: Weekdays - 3 sessions (10:00 AM - 6:00 PM) / Saturday and Sunday - 4 sessions (10:00 AM - 8:00 PM)
Admission Fee: Free
Eligibility: Elementary school students (12 years and under)
Reservations are mandatory, but walk-ins are allowed if there are available spots. Changing rooms are also provided on-site.
When you search for Mulchoo-ul Park in your navigation, you will find a spacious parking lot at the entrance. The water playground is just a one-minute walk away.
Besides the water playground, Mulchoo-ul Park offers various facilities such as a children's playground, toddler area, basketball court, and retention pond, making it a great park for biking or leisurely walks.
At the park entrance, you can find a large character sculpture of Jinju's mascot, Harmo, perfect for taking memorable photos.
The entrance to the water playground has a management booth where you can receive a wristband after making a reservation. On-site registration is also available here.
As soon as you enter the water playground, you will be tempted to jump right in. With a variety of water play facilities, slides, and five water buckets that pour water intermittently, it’s a refreshing experience just to watch.
The playground has shaded areas and parasols, providing ample space to relax between water activities.
It’s a good idea to bring aqua shoes, spare clothes, towels, a mat, water bottles, and hats. Please note that outside food and beverages are not allowed, except for bottled water.
The water playground features a range of slides, from low ones suitable for toddlers to larger slides for elementary students, ensuring that kids will never be bored. The maximum water depth is about 30 cm, which is safe for children.
The operation time consists of 1 hour and 50 minutes of play followed by 1 hour and 25 minutes of maintenance and rest. To enjoy the water activities fully, it’s best to arrive before the maintenance breaks.
The water buckets pouring water create a refreshing atmosphere that makes the heat feel bearable. It’s truly satisfying to enjoy such fun water facilities for free in the city.
