The 2026 Geochang Hanmadang Festival
is taking place at Geochang Sports Park,
where the 18th Geochang Lifelong Learning Festival
is currently being held.

and cultural programs.
At the National Changwon University Geochang Campus,
you can engage in terrarium making,
try your luck at a roulette event, and create scented sachets.
There are many unique experiences, such as designing your own T-shirt with AI.
At the Geochang Family Center booth,
you can try on traditional costumes from different countries
and participate in traditional games!
You can explore minerals and rocks
while learning about geology.
The festival is not just about play; it also includes educational content,
which aligns perfectly with the theme of lifelong learning.
There are booths focused on carbon neutrality and a clean Geochang,
allowing participants to learn about environmental issues through hands-on experiences.
You can also find spaces related to environmental practices
that promote sustainable habits in daily life.
It was great to learn through direct observation and experience
rather than just explanations.
The educational aspect of the festival is one of its many attractions.
The festival also features various crafting programs
that caught my eye, including keychain making and traditional crafts.
You can create mini traditional crafts and card wallets.
There’s even a chance to make a wish keychain using mother-of-pearl painting,
and you can take your finished piece home as a keepsake.
The Geochang hemp weaving experience is also available.
Experiencing traditional culture in this way feels refreshing.
You can make a fan decorated with auspicious motifs,
getting hands-on with traditional elements.
There are also experiences for making your own pottery and egg packages.
The variety of materials and methods made exploring the booths fun.
If you need a break from crafting,
there’s an outdoor library where you can relax and read.
It's a nice space to sit and enjoy a book under the shade of trees.
On stage, there was also a quiz competition.
The Lifelong Learning Festival not only operates promotional and experience booths
