As the sweltering heat and busy daily life wore me down, I momentarily left the scorching city behind and headed to the Geochang Gumwonsan Natural Recreation Forest. The destination was none other than the representative festival of summer retreats, the '18th Gumwonsan Forest Music Festival'!

The theme for my visit on Saturday, August 1st, was **'Shooting Stars'**. The lineup featured a variety of artists including the Romantic Uncle Band, finger guitarist Kim Na-rin, mime performer Gold Boy, female vocalist Heo Yoo-jin, and the folk rock band Travel Sketch, creating a special night that adorned the night sky.

Upon entering the recreation forest, I was greeted by a refreshing breeze distinctly different from the city. The entrance sign of the 'Gumwonsan Natural Recreation Forest Ecological Arboretum' and a charming monkey sculpture welcomed me.

As I walked along the path, colorful signs guided me to various attractions of Gumwonsan, including Yuancheng Waterfall, Jaun Waterfall, the Ecological Arboretum, and Mun Rock. The soothing sounds of waterfalls and the lush forest path lifted my spirits even before the concert began.

The outdoor stage, surrounded by dense forest, served as a magnificent natural concert hall. When I arrived at 6:30 PM, rehearsals were in full swing, and the enthusiasm of the Romantic Uncles preparing the stage filled the air.

The main performance started at 7 PM and continued until around 9 PM. As the sun set and the lights illuminated the forest, a romantic atmosphere emerged, reminiscent of a fairy tale.

Especially, the 'Romantic Uncle' band received explosive applause when the vocalist dramatically opened a red fan and reinterpreted Lee Jung-hyun's legendary techno hit, 'Wa,' which set the atmosphere ablaze!

After the passionate performance, the Romantic Uncles concluded their set with a special photo session with the audience, gathering together in front of the stage and striking a pose with hands raised, saying, "One, two, three!"

This music festival featured not only rock bands but also a diverse range of artists, enriching the experience. Finger guitarist Kim Na-rin filled the forest with emotional melodies, singing Ahn Chi-hwan's 'People Are More Beautiful Than Flowers' with heartfelt emotion, earning loud applause from the audience.

The special stage, completed in harmony with the audience, created a joyful moment that made everyone smile. Gold Boy's mime and street drama performance also engaged with the audience, adding to the excitement.

Heo Yoo-jin, known as 'the President of the Army,' provided excellent fan service while singing 'Night Yanggang,' making eye contact with the audience and sharing sweet treats, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere.

The grand finale featured a spectacular display of pyrotechnics from Heo Yoo-jin, culminating in a passionate performance that drew thunderous cheers and applause from the audience.

The final stage of the 'Shooting Stars' event was graced by the emotional folk group Travel Sketch. Their song 'Stars Are Falling' echoed under the night sky, filling the hearts of all present with deep and serene emotion.

Surrounding the venue, various side events and thoughtful gestures for the audience stood out. A beautifully decorated photo zone with large floral sculptures provided the perfect backdrop for capturing precious memories.

For those who attended, refreshing fans, essential summer mosquito bands, and comfortable cushions for outdoor seating were provided, ensuring a warm and enjoyable experience.

As I walked back to my car after the concert on August 1st, I looked up at the starry night sky. The twinkling stars, visible through the branches, were a reminder of the deep afterglow and healing that the concert provided.

The festival's pamphlet featured an impressive theme for each day of the five-day event, named after beautiful native Korean star names, showcasing the festival's creativity.

The 18th Gumwonsan Forest Music Festival will conclude today, August 3rd, with the 'Fox Star' stage. If you haven't visited yet, come to Gumwonsan tonight to enjoy the starry harmony of a midsummer night!

For those who missed this year's event, remember to visit the Gumwonsan Forest Music Festival next summer for an even more spectacular experience!
