Spring Blooms in Jeungpyeong, Chungbuk: Must-Visit Spots in May

As the weather warms up, May is the perfect time for flower outings!
Today, I’ll introduce two wonderful places to visit in Jeungpyeong, Chungbuk!
| Boeun River's Weeping Willow Forest
Boeun River has ample parking, making it convenient for those driving.
The area is quite relaxed, making it a great spot for a leisurely weekend visit.
One of the reasons you must visit the Weeping Willow Forest this May is the presence of the beautiful Nemophila flowers!
Nemophila is famous in Japan, but it is rare to find in Korea.
These flowers are harmoniously planted among other blooms in the garden.
Being a park, there are play equipment scattered around, making it an excellent picnic spot for families.
Slides and other attractions are located at various points, and there’s even a library nearby for a fulfilling visit.
The park is beautifully maintained, with paths for walking around the flowers, perfect for photography.
You can see various spring flowers, including lupines, daisies, chrysanthemums, and pansies, all for free!
I highly recommend visiting before the flowers fade.
It's conveniently located near Cheongju, making it an easy trip.
| Ipap Tree Road
Next up is the charming Ipap Tree Road.
Located just a 2-minute drive, 4-minute bike ride, or 20-minute walk from Boeun River, it’s a great addition to your itinerary!
This spot allows you to enjoy the refreshing spring to summer atmosphere.
It seems that not many people know about it yet, so you can take your time and snap photos.
Just turn your gaze to the side, and you’ll see the long stretch of Ipap trees.
Since it’s quite lengthy, I recommend walking deeper into the path for better photo opportunities!
You can find it at 518 Chojung-ri, Jeungpyeong-eup, Jeungpyeong-gun, Chungbuk.
It’s larger than expected and has a straight path, making it great for a leisurely stroll.
I even saw some people running or biking there!
It seems like a perfect spot for local residents to take a walk.
