Shinan County Enhances Workers' Rights and Field Competence

Shinan County is committed to protecting the rights of workers.
Increasing field competencies.
To protect the rights of agricultural and fishing workers,
On the 7th, Shinan County held a training session
at the Namak Complex Community Center with
officials responsible for labor and human rights
from 22 cities and counties in Jeonnam.
This training was designed to protect the rights of seasonal agricultural workers and salt farm workers,
and to enhance the understanding of labor laws
and field response capabilities of the officials.
Essential human rights and labor education for the field.
The training, jointly organized by Shinan County and the Jeonnam Labor Rights Center,
included awareness improvement training to prevent human rights violations,
as well as consultations on labor laws and practical labor contracts,
covering a variety of topics applicable in the field.
Park Hyun-jung, the Citizen Human Rights Protector,
led a lecture on the prevention of human rights violations and awareness improvement,
while labor attorney Gong Kyung-hwan provided easy-to-understand explanations
with specific examples of labor laws and practical contracts.
Participants reflected on the importance of protecting human rights
in the labor field through the training,
and shared necessary practical knowledge for signing and fulfilling labor contracts.
Building a culture that respects labor together.
After the training, a joint campaign to promote a labor-respecting culture was held
with relevant organizations.
This was a time to share the importance of protecting workers' rights
and preventing human rights violations,
and to foster a culture of mutual respect for rights.
Small acts of concern and practice can lead to safer and warmer workplaces,
and we will continue to communicate and collaborate steadily from the field.
For a workplace where everyone is respected,
Shinan County will continue to protect the rights of seasonal agricultural workers
and salt farm workers,
and consistently enhance the expertise and field response capabilities of officials
to prevent potential human rights violations.
We will strive to ensure that all workers can protect their rights
and work in a safe and respectful environment.
Shinan County will be there to support and monitor closely.
