To catch the sunset, I arrived around 6:50 PM and took the left trail entrance. Right from the beginning, I was greeted by the beautiful pink flowers of the Lagerstroemia.
Before crossing Bonghwang Bridge, there is a bench where you can enjoy views of Okbong-dong and downtown Jinju. The golden-hued landscape at sunset was breathtaking.
The trail from Maltigo Bridge to Seonhak Mountain Observatory is about 1.1 km long, and you can reach it in about 20 minutes at a leisurely pace, making it perfect for a light hike.
The evening time, when the midday heat subsides, is great for walking along the forest path. It’s a popular light trekking course for Jinju residents.
Upon arriving at Seonhak Mountain Observatory after 7 PM, I just had to climb the stairs.
Wow! The vibrant crimson sunset and the panoramic view of Jinju took my breath away. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy the beautiful summer sunset panorama.
Below the observatory, the red Lagerstroemia was in bloom, making for a lovely photo opportunity.
It was a moment of healing as the scenery became increasingly splendid.
Through the telescope, the detailed night view of Jinju offers a different charm than during the day.
