While there are festivals that attract many visitors from outside, this one is a very humble cherry blossom festival for families in the city.
Here in Hyanghan-ri, embraced by the clean city of Gyeryong and the healing forest of Hyangjeoksan, is where the citizens of Gyeryong truly enjoy the festival.
The festival took place in April when beautiful cherry blossoms bloomed in the clean village of Hyanghan-ri.
The three-day event schedule of the "Hyangjeoksan Spring Outing" festival included surprise photo contests, an AI karaoke contest, a pet show, and various other fun programs.
The Hyangjeoksan Spring Outing is a humble festival that the citizens of Gyeryong genuinely enjoy.
Although it is not a grand festival known nationwide, it is a festival where the citizens of Gyeryong truly have fun.
The festival site welcomed a large inflatable mascot representing Gyeryong City.
The moving mascot has been a model for children to take photos with.
The festival headquarters tent planned and executed the humble festival over three days, organized by the Gyeryong City Small Business Association.
The venue may be small, but it is filled with various experience booths and food stalls, attracting many citizens of Gyeryong.
The festival also featured food stalls prepared by members of the Gyeryong City Small Business Association, offering a variety of delicious options.
I visited one of the food stalls and enjoyed grilled squid butter, abalone, and scallops.
The festival atmosphere was enriched with various performances and experiences, making it a delightful event.
The main stage, located under a vibrant cherry blossom tunnel, added to the charm of the festival.
The Sunday afternoon performance began with a fashion show promoting resource recycling, showcasing outfits made from recycled promotional banners.
Traditional dance performances followed, featuring elegant movements with red fabric.
The festival was a beautiful gathering for families in Gyeryong City, and as I left, I encountered friends enjoying the festivities.
The festival concluded with a visit to the 'Hyanghan Jangsu Village' stone sign at the entrance of Hyanghan-ri.
The 4th Gyeryong City Hyangjeoksan Spring Outing Festival was a lovely celebration for families.
