As the summer vacation season officially begins, beachgoers are eagerly searching for accessible seaside destinations. Byeonsan Beach in Buan, which has been welcoming visitors since its opening in 1933, is now equipped with an improved operational environment and diverse amenities.

Thanks to its gentle waters and fine sandy beach, Byeonsan Beach is a popular destination for families, allowing everyone from young children to seniors to enjoy a safe summer getaway.

Extended Night Swimming and 47-Day Summer Festival

The Buan County government will operate major beaches, including Byeonsan, Gosa-po, Gyeongpo, Mo-hang, and Wido, until August 18 for a total of 47 days. Swimming hours are set from 9 AM to 6 PM, ensuring visitors can enjoy water activities safely under the supervision of lifeguards.

During the peak season from July 19 to August 3, night swimming will be extended until 8 PM, allowing guests to enjoy the tranquil night sea while watching the sunset over the West Sea.

Four Free Parking Lots and Tips for Peak Season

For visitors driving to the beach, four parking areas, from the first to the fourth public parking lots, will be available for free. This alleviates parking costs, making it a welcome benefit for both day-trippers and those staying longer.

During the busy peak season, the main shopping area and artificial rock climbing wall may become crowded, so utilizing the relatively spacious third and fourth parking lots can help reduce entry stress.

Free Children's Water Play Area and Mudflat Ecology Experience

A variety of family-friendly facilities have been significantly enhanced. A children's water play area, featuring slides and fountains, will be open for free until August 17, with dedicated lifeguards ensuring a safe environment for children to play.

Additionally, visitors can experience nature by clam digging and exploring the vast mudflats revealed during low tide. The lush pine forest behind the beach, along with various relaxation spots like sunset resting areas and observation decks, provides ample opportunities for rest.

Efforts to Eliminate Overcharging and Ensure a Comfortable Environment

Buan County and Jeollabuk-do are operating a dedicated reporting center and conducting focused inspections to eliminate overcharging and illegal tent placements, fostering a healthy beach culture. As a result, visitors can enjoy their vacations in a pleasant environment without unpleasant surprises.

For any inquiries related to operations, visitors are encouraged to reach out for guidance. This summer, make unforgettable memories at Byeonsan Beach, known for its affordable costs and excellent amenities.
