Hello everyone! November, with its deep autumn ambiance, welcomed a lively festival in Gajoe-myeon, Geochang-gun.
Today (November 7th, Saturday), the '2026 Gajoe Y-Market Festa' was held at the Gajoe-myeon shuttle bus parking area! Local merchants, residents, and visitors came together to share warmth and vitality, and I'm excited to share my vivid impressions from the event.
This event was filled with delightful experiences for all five senses, featuring food, performances, hands-on activities, and weekend markets. As I entered the festival grounds, the blue autumn sky and stunning mountain backdrop welcomed me, and I could feel the festive energy in the air.
In front of the stage, many residents and visitors gathered under white parasols, enjoying the vibrant atmosphere, while invited singer Choi Jeon-seol showcased her powerful vocals!
The exciting music and performances at the festival delighted both the eyes and ears.
Of course, no festival experience is complete without hands-on activities! Various booths were set up, allowing everyone from children to adults to enjoy their time.
Woodworking Experience: The hands-on woodworking experience, where participants could touch and refine materials, was incredibly popular. The joy of creating something with care was truly rewarding.
Bracelet-Making with Knot Craft: Choosing threads in my favorite colors, I made unique knots and crafted a bracelet with accessories I liked. Wearing it instantly brightened my mood!
Making Injeolmi: The fun of tearing off bite-sized pieces of soft rice cake dough and coating them in roasted soybean flour was a delightful experience, allowing me to enjoy the traditional taste of Injeolmi.
And we can't forget the fun of exploring the weekend market and flea market booths! Fresh local produce caught my eye. I couldn't pass up the delicious-looking apples grown under the autumn sun of Gajoe, so I bought some that looked fresh and sweet.
At the Flower Shiru-yeon booth, everything was priced at just 1,000 won, and I found a cute doll pin design, which I purchased as a lovely keepsake from the festival.
While wandering around the festival, I stumbled upon a free tasting corner where I could enjoy delicious chicken and popcorn, making me feel the warmth of community spirit.
Meanwhile, on stage, invited singer Hyun-ja continued to deliver an impressive performance, followed by singers Jung Hae-eun and Min Geun-hye.
Especially, Jung Hae-eun engaged with the audience by coming down from the stage, singing and dancing with them, elevating the festival's excitement to its peak!
Under the white parasols, watching the enthusiastic singers brought joy to the eyes and ears of the audience.
In the clear autumn weather, I could feel the warm kindness of neighbors and the vibrancy of the marketplace at the '2026 Gajoe Y-Market Festa'!
As I explored the festival, I was captivated by the colorful wildflowers and green potted plants grown at the Gajoe Flower Farm.
From chrysanthemums blooming like the autumn sun to vibrant purple and pink wildflowers that brighten the mood, each flower showcased its unique beauty.
With various experiences, delightful shopping, warm free tasting corners, and exciting songs from engaging performers, it was a perfect day. The delicious rice cakes I made and the lovely character keychain I got will remain cherished memories.
The promotional event booth featured a prize giveaway based on receipt exchanges (while supplies last), and participants in the survey received tarp bags (limited to 500), providing even more enjoyable activities.
This joyful weekend outing allowed me to fully appreciate the charm of Gajoe. Wishing everyone a happy autumn!
