Join us for a concert at the library where the reading space transforms into a performance venue.
Are you pondering where to escape the summer heat?
Experience both coolness and a unique cultural lifestyle at the Dangjin City Central Library!
We bring you the highlights of the library this August.
Is a library supposed to be quiet?!
Let's break the stereotype and discover the vibrant atmosphere of the August library!
If you've hesitated to visit the library with your child, worried about potential noise, the lively and cheerful library will put those concerns to rest.
On the day I visited, children were rehearsing musical performances as part of the "Dreaming Cultural Arts School" program organized by the Chungnam Cultural Tourism Foundation.
Following their performances, the Quartemoderato team and a piano solo were also scheduled to perform.
The lively library provides a comfortable atmosphere for various learning experiences and joyful interactions.
Stay tuned for library programs to keep your interest piqued!
There are also humanities lectures for adults, so be sure to participate!
The lively and bustling library operates:
Tuesday to Friday: 09:00 - 22:00
Saturday and Sunday: 09:00 - 18:00
In addition to the library, there's a space called Cinema Paradise where you can enjoy movies.
Many people were already there early in the morning, which was quite surprising!
The Dangjin City is also promoting the Bookstart initiative, encouraging citizens to start their lives with books.
Residents from infants to seniors over 65 can receive a free book package containing two age-appropriate picture books and a guidebook.
On Friday, August 21, from 7:00 to 8:30 PM, Professor Lee Gye-ho from the Chemistry Department at Chungnam National University will give a lecture.
There's an upcoming event titled "Reading Stories with Your Body" on Saturday, August 29, from 2:00 to 3:00 PM, featuring performances by dancers specialized in modern dance, ballet, and classical dance.
On the second floor, a monthly art exhibition with various themes is held, so why not embark on a journey of reading at the library this summer?
Instead of traveling far away, fill your time with reading and contemplation, igniting your passion like a vibrant red moss rose.
