Discover Pinnacle Land: A Green Paradise in Asan

▲ Eco-friendly Theme Park Pinnacle Land
Pinnacle Land, located in Yeongin-myeon, Asan-si, Chungcheongnam-do, is an eco-friendly theme park that was reborn in July 2006 after over a decade of dedicated restoration by Lee Chang-ho, the founder of Oedo Botania. The site was previously a rough stone mountain used as a quarry for the construction of the Asan Bay embankment.
▲ Seasonal Square with Pansies
Spanning approximately 30,000 pyeong, Pinnacle Land features over 20 themed gardens and walking paths, along with vibrant seasonal festivals that create unforgettable memories for families, couples, and friends.
Upon entering after ticket verification, visitors receive a brochure with information about seasonal festivals. The park offers wheelchair and stroller rental services, making it accessible for families with young children and those with mobility challenges.
▲ Circular Garden
The first space visitors encounter in Pinnacle Land is a beautifully maintained garden and a spacious square. This area, filled with various flowers throughout the seasons, serves as the park's first photo zone, welcoming guests with daffodils and tulips in spring and colorful chrysanthemums in autumn.
▲ Metasequoia Path
The park's greatest charm lies in the themed gardens along the gently sloping, zigzag walking paths. The cool, towering Metasequoia trees lining the path provide a healing experience simply by walking.
In summer, visitors can enjoy lush greenery, while autumn offers a stunning view of exotic landscapes painted in reds and oranges. The sections planted with white-barked birch trees create a mystical atmosphere reminiscent of Northern Europe during winter snowfalls.
▲ Animal Village in Full Bloom
Pinnacle Land features wildflowers and fruit trees that allow visitors to fully experience Korea's four seasons. This makes it an ecological learning space for children and a tranquil retreat for adults.
The park is not just a simple arboretum; it also includes interactive facilities where visitors can get close to animals. Guests can feed gentle alpacas and deer, with feed available for purchase at the ticket booth or experience areas, making it a popular attraction for families.
▲ Lake Cafe
Visitors can also enjoy feeding colorful koi fish in the pond, where the surrounding scenery reflected on the water is captivating enough to pause for a moment.
▲ Moonlight Falls
At the end of the walking path, at the highest point of Pinnacle Land, stands the park's landmark sculpture and waterfall. This massive artificial waterfall was created from the sheer cliffs of the former quarry.
Moonlight Falls offers a refreshing cascade that provides a thrilling visual experience, while the rugged texture of the cliffs evokes awe in nature.
▲ Greeting of the Sun
The Greeting of the Sun, a Guinness-listed sculpture by renowned artist Choi Pyeong-gon, is a large structure that slowly rotates with the wind. It symbolizes Pinnacle Land, offering breathtaking views of the Asan Bay embankment and the West Sea.
▲ Grass Square
Pinnacle Land operates year-round, with facilities transforming beautifully with the seasons. During the hot summer months, a temporary outdoor swimming pool and water play area are available near the expansive grass square, providing a safe environment for children to enjoy water activities.
In winter, a sledding area opens, allowing families to enjoy dynamic winter sports together. On Saturday evenings or during specific festival periods, the park hosts nighttime openings accompanied by large fireworks displays, creating a romantic atmosphere for couples.
Outdoor tables are available for visitors to relax with a cup of tea or a snack after a long walk. Freshly baked bread and aromatic coffee can be enjoyed in spacious indoor and outdoor seating areas overlooking the gardens.
During festival seasons, markets selling traditional Korean foods like pajeon (green onion pancakes) and noodles are set up, and the on-site restaurant offers neat meals, eliminating the need to worry about packing a lunch.
There are designated nursing areas for infants, and ramps installed along main pathways ensure stroller and wheelchair access. Pinnacle Land features the Moonlight Walking Path, which takes about 1.5 hours to traverse, and the Sky Walking Path, which is a gentler route taking about an hour.
