In the midst of our busy lives, we often need a moment to pause and catch our breath.

Whenever I feel this way, I frequently take a walk in front of my house.

Today, I visited Seonok Park, a hidden gem in Jincheon County, Chungbuk Innovation City.

The scenery of Seonok Park in the refreshing month of June was truly vibrant and green. Unlike popular tourist spots, it wasn't crowded, which made it even more enjoyable.

Just knowing that there's a quiet place nearby where I can take a break is comforting.

Located near the National Civil Service Human Resources Development Institute, Seonok Park holds a special story. This area was once the site of 'Seonok Sin Village,' the southernmost village that protected this land before the development of Chungbuk Innovation City.

Although the village has disappeared with urban development, its name and traces have been preserved, transforming the area into a cozy retreat for residents and a beautiful city park. Knowing this makes each step in the park feel more meaningful.

As I walk along the paths, the lush leaves above provide a cool shade, and the gentle breeze of early summer refreshes my spirit.

Throughout the park, refreshing tree shadows greet visitors. Although the June sun can be quite intense, the cool breeze created by the dense foliage enhances the joy of walking.

The well-maintained walking paths are equipped with various exercise equipment that anyone can easily use. It's a great place to build stamina under the cool shade of trees during early morning or late afternoon.

Continuing along the path, I encounter a straight walkway that feels invigorating just to look at.

There are benches and pavilions along the way for resting, allowing you to take a break whenever you feel tired while walking.

The park has 24-hour CCTV, making it feel safe to take a leisurely evening stroll.

The pathways are well-organized, making them suitable for light outings with strollers or scooters.

Walking in the lush nature of June offers numerous benefits. Taking a moment to walk amidst a busy life brings significant changes to our body and mind.

Walking during sunny hours helps our bodies synthesize essential vitamin D naturally. Breathing in the fresh air of early summer while walking among the green trees alleviates accumulated fatigue and strengthens our immunity. Just strolling under the cool shade of trees fills us with a delightful energy that awakens every cell in our body.

Stepping away from the noise, listening to the sounds of footsteps and the wind naturally organizes the tangled thoughts in our minds.

You don’t have to travel far; just take 30 minutes out of your day to enjoy the refreshing season of early summer.

A short start can become a source of vitality in a weary routine.
