A Day in Asan's Pinnacle Land Arboretum

As cherry blossoms bloom and fall, the season of tulips begins in earnest.
Eager to experience the vibrant colors firsthand, I visited the Pinnacle Land Arboretum in Asan on April 14.
I truly felt why this place is always recommended as a must-visit in Asan.
From parking to the viewing paths, everything was organized and pleasant, making this outing satisfying from start to finish.
1. A Refreshing Entrance Guided by Green Metasequoia
The path from the parking lot to the ticket booth was anything but ordinary.
Tall Metasequoia trees towered overhead, creating a passage that felt like entering another world.
Upon entering the Pinnacle Land Arboretum, the openness of this path was truly impressive.
Unlike the bustling image often associated with Asan, the majestic trees and colorful tulips allowed for a calm stroll.
○ Address: 20-22 Wolsan-gil, Yeongin-myeon, Asan, Chungcheongnam-do
○ Operating Hours: 09:00 AM - 06:00 PM
○ Parking: Free dedicated parking
○ Entrance Fee: 15,000 KRW
It's rare to find a place that exudes such an overwhelming atmosphere right from the entrance.
Walking under the pleasant morning sun filtering through the trees made me feel like my daily worries were momentarily forgotten.
2. The Spectacle of a Million Tulips in Rainbow Colors
As I ventured further, I finally encountered the long-awaited tulip garden.
On my visit, about 80% of the tulips were in bloom, displaying a beautiful array of colors.
The orderly yet natural arrangement of tulips in red, yellow, and pink was striking.
The tulip festival at Pinnacle Land Arboretum is not only grand in scale but also creatively utilizes the terrain for planting.
If you're looking for a picturesque spot in Asan, this is undoubtedly the top choice.
Walking along the fragrant hillside feels like being invited to a European garden.
3. The Charming Animal Village with Cherry Blossoms and Adorable Alpacas
After immersing myself in tulips, I discovered another delightful surprise.
The animal village, home to cute alpacas, was still adorned with blooming cherry blossoms.
The sight of gentle alpacas grazing under the swirling pink petals felt like a scene from a fairy tale.
This unique view, exclusive to Pinnacle Land Arboretum, made me keep clicking my camera.
The well-maintained animals and spacious environment made this a pleasant experience.
If visiting with children or a partner, the time spent here will surely be memorable.
4. The Majestic Moonlight Waterfall and Wind Hill
At the entrance, you can see the moonlight waterfall cascading from rugged cliffs.
Learning that this was once a quarry for stones used in building the Asan Bay embankment made the transformation even more impressive.
On Wind Hill, there is a remarkable art installation called 'Greeting of the Sun' by renowned Japanese artist Susumu Shingu.
The large steel wings elegantly rotate even with the slightest breeze, creating a mesmerizing sight.
Discovering artistic features hidden throughout the garden was a delightful experience.
I could visually feel the energy of nature while watching the wings glimmering in the sunlight.
5. The Zigzag Path of the Koji Gamrae Trail and Peaceful Lakeside Garden
Reluctantly leaving, I slowly descended the zigzagging Koji Gamrae Trail.
This gentle path allowed me to reach the summit comfortably and enjoy the panoramic view on the way down.
The spacious lawn and fountain at the center of the arboretum provided a refreshing atmosphere.
Such a well-balanced space, rich in beauty yet full of attractions, is hard to find.
As I concluded my tour of Asan, sitting on a bench by the lake, I felt rejuvenated by the sounds of water and birds.
Every corner of the garden was tended with care, making my stroll feel like a warm welcome.
This was a time to not only see flowers but to soak in the energy of nature.
Pinnacle Land Arboretum changes with the seasons, and I look forward to visiting again for the summer hydrangeas or autumn chrysanthemum festival!
Why not plan a visit to this fragrant paradise with your loved ones this weekend? You’re sure to create unforgettable memories of a vibrant spring day.
