October, the island adorned with flowers
Autumn scenery on Byeongpungdo Island, Sinan
As autumn arrives, the island of Sinan presents a unique landscape gifted by the season.
Byeongpungdo is painted red with cockscombs.
In autumn, the vibrant cockscombs bloom all over the island,
blending beautifully with the blue sea,
creating a massive garden.
Walking slowly along the island paths lined with flowers,
the expansive blue sea unfolds before your eyes,
and you can also encounter the tranquil scenery of the island village.
This is a rare opportunity to experience the leisurely pace unique to the island,
something hard to find in our busy daily lives.
Autumn island trip following the cockscombs
On Byeongpungdo, you can find not only the cockscomb garden
but also various attractions scattered throughout the island.
Especially, the 12 Apostles Pilgrimage Trail and
the approximately 1.3 km Byeongpung Rock
are places where you can feel the nature and stories of Byeongpungdo.
As you walk through the scenery where flowers, sea, paths, and villages blend,
your pace naturally slows down.
In October, when the cockscombs are in full bloom,
Byeongpungdo transforms into a colorful flower garden,
offering new scenery at every turn.

and the village scenery that follows the low island paths.
Rather than rushing to find flashy tourist spots,
taking a slow walk and pausing to admire the view
can make for a truly special trip.
If you want to take a break from your tired daily routine
and relax in nature,
this autumn, consider a leisurely trip to Byeongpungdo.
How to get to Byeongpungdo?
You can reach Byeongpungdo by passenger ferry from Songdo Port in Jido-eup
and Songgong Port in Aphae-eup.
Currently, due to construction at the viewing port,
the docking point has changed to the Nari Island ferry terminal,
and the journey takes about 50 minutes.
From Songgong Port, it takes about 1 hour and 10 minutes.
* Please check the latest ferry operation times and docking points before your visit.
See you this autumn at Byeongpungdo!
Sinan-gun will not hold a separate festival this year,
but will instead designate October as a month of focused promotion
to showcase the beautiful scenery and tourist resources of Byeongpungdo.
While bustling festivals are enjoyable,
sometimes a slow walk along flower paths is just as delightful.
Take a moment to rest while gazing at the blue sea
along the flower-strewn paths of Byeongpungdo this autumn.
Experience the tranquility that nature offers.
