Huntrix's 'Golden' Ascends to the Top of Billboard Hot 100

Huntrix, from 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' (KDH), has finally reached the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 with their song 'Golden'!
We previously reported its debut at #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 in mid-July, and now it's claimed the top spot!
The Hot 100 is considered the chart of charts for musicians worldwide, a dream destination for many. The competition is fierce, and rankings fluctuate rapidly. Notably, this is the first time a K-pop song with a female lead vocalist has reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Previously, BTS and members Jimin and Jungkook achieved the top spot as soloists or in units, but there hasn't been a female-led vocal performance that has reached the peak.
As of August 14th, Huntrix's 'Golden' sits atop the Billboard chart.

Huntrix's 'Golden' initially entered the chart at #81 on July 5th and steadily climbed the ranks, boosted by the popularity of 'Demon Hunters'. The ascent went from #23 → #6 → #4 → #2 → #2… and finally reached #1 in its seventh week.
Although Huntrix is a virtual K-pop girl group,
the artists who actually sang the songs are:
Lee Jae (Rumi part) – Former SM Entertainment trainee, born in Seoul
Ray Ami (Joy part) – Born in Seoul
Audrey Nuna (Mira part) – From New Jersey

They all share the common trait of being Korean-American. Thanks to this, their pronunciation, emotional delivery, and musical style blend Korean and American sensibilities seamlessly.
Following Huntrix's 'Golden', songs by Saja Boyz are also charting high on the Billboard Hot 100.
Saja Boyz's 'Your Idol' is at #8, and 'Soda Pop' is at #14, following 'Golden'.
Huntrix's other songs also made the charts: 'How It's Done' is at #19, 'What It Sounds Like' is at #25, and 'Takedown' is at #29.

Group | Song Title | Billboard Hot 100 Rank |
---|---|---|
Huntrix | Golden | 1 |
Saja Boyz | Your Idol | 8 |
Saja Boyz | Soda Pop | 14 |
Huntrix | How It’s Done | 19 |
Huntrix | What It Sounds Like | 25 |
Huntrix | Takedown | 29 |

The Vocal Craze Spreads with the 'Golden Challenge'
The highlight of this song is its explosive high-note section. Beyond just being 'cool,' it has become a vocal skill measuring stick among K-pop fans.
Renowned singers such as Bada (S.E.S), Lee Hae-ri (Davichi), Solar (Mamamoo), Lily (NMIXX), Ahn Yu-jin (IVE), Sohyang, Ailee, and Kwon Jin-ah have all eagerly taken on the 'Golden Challenge,' which has spread worldwide through social media.

Seoul Becomes a 'Holy Land' for Fans Worldwide
The popularity extends beyond music into tourism.
Namsan, Bukchon, and the Han River, which appear in KDH, have become 'must-visit courses' for foreign fans, and the National Museum of Korea and merchandise stores are packed with people. Even the Korean tiger and magpie characters in KDH are incredibly popular.

K-pop is now breaking boundaries not only on stage but also on screen and in the virtual world. That's why we're curious about the next steps of 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' and Huntrix.
