Celebrating My Baby's First Birthday
Am I really a mom preparing for a first birthday party?
My baby is only 6 months old, and I've already booked the venue for the celebration!
Other moms around me have also made their reservations. They say that booking 6 months in advance is already late, and that I should hurry!
So, I chose the First Floor Namdaemun, conveniently located in Namdaemun, Seoul!
The First Floor Namdaemun is a restaurant on the first floor of Fraser Place.
They are running a first birthday party promotion until April 2026.
The course meal requires a minimum of 10 people at 99,000 KRW per person, while the buffet requires a minimum of 30 people at 77,000 KRW per person.
These prices are more reasonable compared to other hotel restaurants, and there's even no venue fee!
I visited the place and signed the contract on the same day!
I called ahead and visited during their break time, and the manager welcomed me warmly.
The restaurant is spacious, accommodating 100 guests, and the large windows make it feel bright and pleasant.
With the big windows, I can see outside, and in July, when the party is held, there will be lush green trees visible.
The buffet setup is located at the back, and they even have a space for hot food prepared on-site, including barbecue!
Being a hotel restaurant, the interior is elegant and clean.
When the party is held, they offer a terrace on the 16th or 18th floor (I can't remember which) where we can take photos overlooking Namdaemun!

Parking is also important for our guests! There are about 50 spots in the underground levels 1-3, and since the parking is not often used, it's quite convenient.
When I visited, there were plenty of parking spaces available.
Since the hotel caters mainly to foreign guests, there aren't many cars around.
After seeing the restaurant atmosphere, the ongoing promotion, and the parking situation, I was so pleased that I signed the contract that same day!
What started as just a meal with close family has grown, and now I've booked a restaurant for at least 30 people.
I'm already excited for my baby's first birthday!
