A Memorable Trip to Jeju Island

Instead of having breakfast at the hotel in Jeju Island, I went to a sundubu jjigae restaurant and had sundubu jjigae. To be honest, I'm not a big fan of sundubu jjigae, so my uncle took about half of mine. However, the soy sauce marinated crab was tastier, so I ended up eating it with rice. The crab was actually a self-serve side dish.
After finishing my meal, we drove to the submarine. Before boarding the submarine, I played around with my cousin at a photo zone, and time flew by while we were waiting for the boat.
While on the boat, I saw Hallasan Mountain, which was fascinating. The wind was strong, and the water was incredibly clear. The weather was perfect; everything was just right!
After exploring around the island on the boat, we moved to the submarine and went deep underwater. It was amazing to see the water getting darker, but I was a bit disappointed because there weren't many big fish. It was surprising that I couldn't access the internet underwater.
After the submarine experience, I had blueberry gelato and moved on to the camel riding experience.
It turns out that several celebrities have also tried camel riding here. I found a photo of Ellie, which was exciting!
While waiting for my turn to ride the camel, I was overwhelmed by the smell of camel dung. It was legendary! I usually don't like the smell of animal waste, so I was surprised to smell it here. My family noticed my discomfort and worried about me. However, when I got on the camel, the smell wasn't strong, which was a relief. I touched the camel's hump, and it felt soft and interesting.
After the camel riding experience, we also fed the camels, but I forgot to take pictures because I was focused on feeding them.
After finishing the camel experience, we headed to a beautiful café an hour away, which my aunt insisted on visiting. She really wanted to try the Hallabong ice cream. The café was pretty but quite expensive. I had basalt ice cream, which tasted like chocolate, and the Hallabong ice cream was very refreshing!
After enjoying some snacks at the café, we went to Jeju Dongmun Market. It was crowded, and I just browsed around without shopping since I didn't need anything. After exploring the market, we went to eat again.
We went to a grilled fish rice pot restaurant, but I was so full from all the snacks that my cousin and I decided to share a portion. It was delicious, especially with abalone, but I felt stuffed after just a little bit.
After finishing our meal, we headed to the airport. On the way, we stopped at a souvenir shop and bought some pajamas and a tangerine keychain. After shopping, we finally made our way to the airport!
At the airport, I was excited to go home! I had a few things I wanted to do: 1. Hug my friend Joonmyung, 2. Dive into my bed, and 3. Take out my contact lenses and go to sleep.
After checking in, I browsed around the duty-free shop. I wanted to buy some pudding, but it was only available at the duty-free shop before check-in. I could have gone back, but I didn't have enough time, so I ended up not buying it. However, I was satisfied with the souvenirs I got.
As it was time to board the plane, we got on. During the flight, they mentioned that the plane would be shaking due to climate change, which was a bit scary for me since it was my first time experiencing this. I watched Disney movies on the plane, thanks to Joonmyung sharing his account with me.
Eventually, we landed safely. Do you remember the story from my first day in Jeju about hiding a wireless hair straightener in the bathroom? I went to check if it was still there, and yes, I found it! No one had taken it, and it was saved from being thrown away!
After collecting my things, I took a taxi home. The fare was quite high. I was so tired that I jumped into the shower and then dove into my bed while talking to Joonmyung.
My first trip to Jeju Island was enjoyable, but I felt bad that Joonmyung was sick during the trip and I couldn't be by his side. Now that I'm back in Gyeonggi-do, I want to hug him tightly. Thus ended my wonderful 3-day, 2-night trip to Jeju Island!
