A Delightful Afternoon Tea Experience at the Imperial Palace Hotel in Gangnam

Hello! I recently visited the Imperial Palace Hotel in Gangnam, Seoul, and I'm excited to share my experience with you! I was looking for a place to refresh my mood, and I found this charming spot with a lovely lobby tree and a vintage atmosphere.
The Grand Mercure Imperial Palace Hotel is located at 640 Eonju-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
I initially thought it was called the Imperial Hotel, but the official name is actually Imperial Palace! From the hallways to the elevators, the ambiance is quite different from other hotels—it's retro, elegant, and luxurious in a positive way. I loved the unique atmosphere!
This is the view from the second floor! I made my way down to the Café Delmar located on the first floor.
On my way down, I enjoyed looking at the beautiful plates displayed along the path.
Finally, here is the entrance to Café Delmar! I made a reservation in advance, which is a must!
They even have this adorable teddy bear!
I reserved the afternoon tea set for two, priced at 80,000 won. The set is designed for two people!
During January and February, the tea set features desserts themed around strawberries.
Each person receives a teapot and a cup. I noticed that the teaware is a domestic product, and it's quite pretty!
Here comes the three-tiered dessert stand!
The proper way to enjoy the tea set is to start from the top and work your way down!
The top tier includes mousse cakes and macarons, the second tier features scones with jam and butter, and the bottom tier has salmon canapés and open sandwiches.
At first, I wondered how I would finish all these sweet treats, but they weren't overly sweet, making them enjoyable without being tiresome. Each piece was beautifully presented, adding to the fun of the experience.
As I sipped my tea, time passed pleasantly!
Most importantly, the café is stunning, making me feel like I was on a trip to Europe.
Every corner of the café is beautiful. I took numerous photos, feeling like I had traveled through time. It reminded me of the atmosphere enjoyed by wealthy people in Korea during the 80s and 90s.
Here’s a shot of the lobby on my way out! Just being in this space lifted my spirits! I left feeling relaxed and recharged.
I highly recommend visiting this beautiful place for a happy tea time to refresh your mood!
