A Cozy Stay in the Heart of Myeongdong: MOXY Seoul Myeongdong Review
During a one-night date with my boyfriend, we decided to stay at MOXY Seoul Myeongdong.
To summarize, the hotel's location alone already gives it a high satisfaction rating!
Here’s my honest review based on our experience:
Location & Public Transportation
The hotel is about a 5-minute walk from Myeongdong Station, making subway travel very convenient.
Nearby attractions include:
- Myeongdong Shopping Street
- Shinsegae Department Store
- Namdaemun Market
Everything is within walking distance, making it easy to plan a date around the hotel!
Parking is available via valet service for a fee (around 25,000 KRW), but I personally recommend using public transportation.
Atmosphere
MOXY has a youthful and casual vibe rather than a traditional hotel feel. The staff, referred to as a "crew," are friendly and welcoming.
The lobby operates like a bar, and the shared spaces have a hip atmosphere, making it a great place to relax.
Overall, it’s perfect for a lighthearted getaway.
Facilities
Guests can enjoy free coffee available 24/7 at the check-in desk. Breakfast is available for adults at 30,000 KRW and for children at 15,000 KRW, served from 6:30 to 10:00 at Bar Moxy on the 4th floor.
Bar Moxy operates from 18:00 to 00:00 (last order at 23:30), and the Grab & Go menu is available 24/7, featuring instant noodles and snacks.
There’s also a self-service laundry facility available for guests on the 5th floor.
The hotel seems well-equipped for guest comfort and relaxation.
Rooms
Free Wi-Fi is provided, and each room has a water purifier (to reduce plastic waste). There’s a wall-mounted mini-fridge, though its size is quite small.
One of the highlights for us was the ability to connect our phones to the TV, allowing us to enjoy our favorite content easily.
Both Android and iPhone users can connect their devices without issues, which is a significant plus!
In summary, it’s a great place for a hotel stay and relaxation.
Dining & Attractions
Being in the heart of Myeongdong, there are plenty of dining options and cafes nearby. We tried a Chinese restaurant called "Haenghwachon" close to the hotel, which is quite popular.
MOXY Seoul Myeongdong's location means you don’t have to travel far for good food, which is a big advantage!
