Discovering Gimhae's Janggun Tea Fields: A Green Oasis

The expansive natural scenery is always breathtaking and provides peace of mind just by looking at it.
Today, we're introducing three spots in Gimhae's Janggun Tea Fields where you can enjoy nature and heal in the middle of lush green tea fields, and experience various activities that are difficult to experience in everyday life, such as tea picking, tea making, and tea ceremony.
Before visiting the Janggun Tea Fields, it would be better to know about the history and origin of Janggun Tea, right?
Janggun Tea, a specialty of Gimhae, is a type of southern broad-leaf tea and is known as a famous tea representing Gimhae, having won awards at world-renowned tea competitions.
The first traditional tea in Korea, Gimhae's specialty Janggun Tea, began when Princess Heo Hwang-ok of Ayuta, India, brought tea seeds as part of her dowry when she came to marry King Suro in 48 AD.
The origin of the name: The origin of the special name Janggun Tea goes back to the Goryeo Dynasty! King Chungnyeol saw a tea tree growing in Gimhae Geumgangsa Temple and called it 'Janggunsu'.
Unique Tea Flavor: The refreshing and rich tea aroma and the subtly felt sweet umami flavor are excellent and well-received.

Characterized by flat and wide Janggun tea fields, Janggun Tea is grown organically in a clean area.
A popular photo spot here is to go into the lush Janggun tea fields or go up to the gazebo with a large tree and take a picture.
From tea picking and tea making experiences to tea tasting, tea ceremony experiences, blending tea experiences, and raspberry picking experiences, the cafe also offers a variety of experiences where you can have a special experience with healing!

Seongok Tea Garden

Seongok Tea Garden, a representative farm in Korea, is a Star Farm, and the terraced tea fields connected to the road create a winding green wave that inspires admiration!
Located at the end of Mt. Mucheok, Seongok Tea Garden is a spectacular sight just to see the tea trees covering the hillside.
Enjoy the various tea flavors and tea-making experiences, put down the heavy burdens of everyday life, and take a break. There is no other paradise!

This place, characterized by terraced tea fields like Seongok Tea Garden, is designated as a Nonghyup Farm Stay Village.
You can enjoy the Janggun tea fields that unfold when you climb the stone stairs, and there are many activities that children especially enjoy.
There is an indoor botanical garden where you can drink tea and coffee, and a space where you can play in the sand around the plants.
With horse riding experiences and rabbit feeding experiences, it is a place full of nature-friendly experiences, making it very popular with parents with children.
