Last weekend, the 'When Spring Blooms, Geumidong Village' tulip festival took place here.
This event was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the importance of restoring river ecosystems and to foster communication and harmony among local residents, attracting many citizens.
Thanks to this, we were able to share warm moments with neighbors amidst the scenic waves of tulips on a bright spring day!
The 4th Gongneungcheon Tulip Festival, which I visited for a spring outing, was grandly held at an outdoor stage set up under the Chilgan Bridge.
In the open plaza, not only were there performances, but also various interactive booths where citizens could participate, enhancing the joy of the festival.
This year's festival was filled with rich sights and activities, starting with the opening stage and the official ceremony.
It continued with performances from the community center, guest performances, and a singing contest, receiving enthusiastic applause from the audience.
What stood out this year was the resident participation programs, especially for children.
Activities included face painting, making plaster air fresheners, and eco bag workshops.
These creative activities received great responses from family visitors, creating a bright and lively atmosphere!
I also explored the tulip fields along the Gongneungcheon walking path.
Just a week ago, the cheerful cherry blossoms welcomed us, and now the tulips have filled the space with their vibrant colors, making the beauty of spring even more delightful.
From striking red and orange tulips to white, purple, and pink ones, the vivid colors of each tulip created a peaceful scene as citizens strolled among the flowers, savoring the tranquility of spring.
It was a happy day to enjoy such beautiful spring scenery right in the heart of Paju!
