Seoul Library's Winter Transformation

As winter approaches, the exterior of the Seoul Library
has been beautifully transformed with the Seoul Dream Board,
a large display of hope.
Shall we take a closer look?

Foreign tourists visiting Seoul Plaza are taking commemorative photos in front of the Seoul Dream Board.
On December 3rd, the city of Seoul unveiled the newly renovated Seoul Dream Board (hereinafter referred to as the Dream Board) on the exterior of the Seoul Library to welcome winter.
The city held a public competition for winter-themed messages for the Dream Board from October 20 to October 29, 2025, under the theme of "Warm and hopeful phrases that help forget the winter chill." A total of 984 entries were submitted, and five works were selected as winners by the message selection committee.
Among the winning entries, the phrase "Footprints that remind me I'm not alone when I look back on the snow-covered path" was chosen and artistically adapted for display on the winter edition of the Dream Board.
The winner, Kim Yejin, expressed, "Winter can feel lonely, but reflecting on the past year, I realize there were many people by my side who supported me. I wanted to share this warm feeling while thinking of my loved ones."
The message selection committee stated, "We chose this entry because, like footprints that are revealed only when it snows, it conveys the warm realization that we are not alone, thanks to those who stood by us as the year passed and the new year approaches."
Seoul City hopes that the newly transformed Dream Board will provide citizens with a moment to pause and share warm feelings with their loved ones during the cold season.
