The Seoul Metropolitan Government is accepting nominations for the 'Seoul Design Award' until June 19, Friday.
If you have contributed to the development of the Seoul design industry and policies, anyone can apply without restrictions on location or activity area.

This year, for the first time, the Seoul Metropolitan Government will award the 'Seoul Design Award' to individuals who have significantly contributed to the design industry and policy development.

Attention designers involved in design, art, and creative industries in Seoul!
To discover key contributors to the development of the Seoul design industry and policies, the Seoul Metropolitan Government is publicly recruiting candidates for the 'Seoul Design Award' for the first time this year!
Application Period: From the announcement date until June 19, Friday, 18:00
Eligibility: Individuals, companies, or organizations that have made significant contributions to the development of the Seoul design industry and policies.

What are the application requirements and required documents for the Seoul Design Award?
This award allows you to nominate someone who has contributed to Seoul's design, even if you are not a designer yourself.
Anyone who has provided practical assistance in enhancing the design value of Seoul can participate, regardless of location or activity area.

Individual Category | 'Seoul Designer'
Company Category | 'Seoul Design Company'
Organization Category | 'Seoul Design Organization'
Total of 12 awards from the Mayor of Seoul
Eligibility Requirements: Individuals, companies, or organizations with significant contributions to the development of the Seoul design industry and policies.
Application Requirements: Applications can be made by self-nomination or recommendation.
Required Documents for Candidates:
For Individuals:
1. Application Form
2. Portfolio
3. Supporting Documents: Certificates of experience, contracts, awards, etc.
4. Consent for Personal Information Collection and Use
5. Recommendation Consent and Verification of Contributions
For Companies/Organizations:
1. Application Form
2. Portfolio
3. Supporting Documents: Business registration certificate or corporate registration certificate, proof of unique number, etc.
4. Consent for Personal Information Collection and Use

Winners will have the opportunity to network with domestic and international design professionals at an awards ceremony linked to the Seoul Design International Forum, expanding their global network.

How will the Seoul Design Award be judged?
The award will be given based on public values such as enhancing urban brand value, expanding social inclusivity, and creating a sustainable industrial ecosystem.
Judging Criteria:
1st Round: Contribution to Seoul's governance, expertise, completeness
2nd Round: Alignment with Seoul's core values, innovation, social value, impact, external influence
Results will be announced in September on the Seoul Metropolitan Government's website and via individual notifications.
To ensure transparency and objectivity in public awards, the final winners will be selected after public verification and deliberation following the first and second rounds of judging.
