'Kora' is based on the artist's personal experience during a 2,300 km pilgrimage in the summer of 2011, showcasing majestic nature and sacred spiritual spaces. The handheld video captures the physical sensations of high altitudes, fluttering flags, and the gestures of pilgrims prostrating on the ground.

'si: sea(2565)' is an ongoing series by Jessi Choi that began in 2021. It explores the linguistic intersection where the English word 'sea' is phonetically rendered as 'si' in Korean, delving into the layers of meaning and sound. The work navigates the non-linearity of time and narrative through language as a medium, poetics as a generative principle, and the potential for mistranslation as a catalyst for new meanings.

The 'si: concrete poem' series bridges the artist's early works and an expanded worldview, connecting personal diasporic experiences with the rhythms of Asian oral traditions. The pieces are encoded and reinterpreted through abstract language patterns, revealing the diasporic and ontological tremors of language as they traverse the boundaries between the readable and the unreadable.
