Join the Paju Health Center Walking Challenge!
Start the new year of 2026 with a fresh mindset!
We participated in the Paju Citizen Walking Challenge (from January 1 to 25, aiming for 200,000 steps) organized by the Paju Health Center.
Although I often made excuses for not exercising regularly due to a busy schedule, this challenge helped improve my physical and mental health.
The January mobile walking challenge has ended, but it will continue in February. By joining the official Paju WalkON community, you can receive notifications about new challenges.
The missions may vary in content and step count, but the overall structure will remain similar, so be sure to participate!
To join the Paju Health Center WalkON Challenge, install the WalkON app on your smartphone and join the official community aimed at promoting walking exercises in Paju.
Challenge Duration: January 1 (Thursday) to January 25 (Sunday), for a total of 25 days.
Eligibility: Paju citizens and employees working in Paju who own a smartphone.
Location: Anywhere in Paju (walk freely).
Participation Requirement: Achieve a total of 200,000 steps within the challenge period. Participants who meet the goal will be entered into a drawing for a 5,000 won Paju Pay reward.
After starting with a walking routine at Unjeong Central Park, I aimed for a daily target of 10,000 to 15,000 steps. Initially, it was challenging, but my body quickly adapted!
I also explored Unjeong Lake Park in the snow, where I found willow buds blooming despite the cold winter weather.
Following various courses, I toured parks like Mirae Nae Park, Dore Park, and others.
The WalkON app provides a stable and convenient platform to track my location and step count in real time.
The daily briefing feature analyzes my activities, including walking habits, power walking, calories, and sleep time.
I also explored the Heyri Art Village from Gate 1 to Exit 10, discovering hidden gems along the way.
As I adapted to walking, it became an enjoyable experience. The sunset captured during the last course was beautiful!
After five days, I gained confidence and improved my stamina, even challenging myself to run 5 to 6 kilometers.
Completing my daily steps, I also climbed the stairs of my apartment building, making exercise a regular part of my life.
Successfully completing the Paju Mobile WalkON Citizen Walking Challenge rewarded me with a Paju Pay entry, making me feel more energetic!
Anyone can participate, so I encourage all Paju citizens to join the challenge for a healthier life!
The 2026 Paju Health Center Citizen Walking Challenge reminded me of the importance of small daily actions for health!
The city of Paju plans to continue offering various health programs that integrate into citizens' daily lives.
I realized through this challenge that today's steps lead to a healthier tomorrow.
