The Seoul Metropolitan Government will operate the 'Garden of Gratitude' at Gwanghwamun Plaza from May 12 (Tuesday).
It features the installation 'Light of Gratitude 23' made from stones donated by participating countries in the Korean War, along with a night sky light display and a media exhibition at 'Freedom Hall'.
The 'Garden of Gratitude' conveys messages of thanks and peace to the veterans of the Korean War and the participating nations.

What is the newly created 'Garden of Gratitude'?
The 'Garden of Gratitude' has been established in Gwanghwamun Plaza, the heart of Seoul, to remember the participating countries and veterans of the Korean War.
This space embodies the gratitude of South Korea while highlighting its transformation from a recipient of aid to a nation that brings hope to the world.

On May 12, during the opening ceremony, ambassadors from 22 countries that participated in the Korean War and veterans attended, taking time to understand the purpose of the Garden of Gratitude.
What spaces are included in the Garden of Gratitude?
The Garden of Gratitude consists of the outdoor installation 'Light of Gratitude 23', symbolizing the 23 countries that participated in the Korean War, and an underground media experience space called 'Freedom Hall'.
'Light of Gratitude 23' is a 6.25-meter tall sculpture made from stones donated by the participating countries.
Each sculpture is arranged in chronological order of participation in the Korean War.
From 8 PM to 11 PM (7 PM to 10 PM during winter), a light display will illuminate the night sky of Gwanghwamun.
During national holidays or special events, the lighting times and colors will be adjusted, so don’t miss the night light show at 'Light of Gratitude 23'!
Freedom Hall features an interactive media exhibition that showcases South Korea's growth based on the sacrifices of the veterans and participating nations.
Starting from the 13th, there will also be guided tours available for visitors to the Garden of Gratitude.
To commemorate the opening of the Garden of Gratitude, special merchandise will be available at various locations starting from the 12th.
