「Gallery Hopping Day」
In celebration of the 2nd Sejong Art Week, various galleries in Sejong have gathered together.
「Gallery Hopping Day」, running from September 1st to October 12th, 2025, is a special program designed to allow citizens to connect with art more closely. Don't miss this opportunity to enjoy a variety of works including paintings, sculptures, installations, and crafts.
“Where the exhibition begins”
As you enter the BRT Small Museum of Art,
the first space that greets visitors
is the wall containing the preface and introduction to this exhibition. This place serves as a guide, showcasing the purpose and program of 「The 2nd Sejong Art Week – Gallery Hopping Day」 at a glance.
One of the first spaces you can encounter at the BRT Small Museum of Art is the Vanguard1 Art Center Gallery. Located in the heart of Sejong City, it creates new culture together with local artists.
This is a special gallery that pursues both creativity and the realization of social value.
Observation Point
Icons visualizing the gallery's scenery and the gallery's purpose and address are displayed on the wall, allowing visitors to easily find information.
The exhibited works contain modern sensibilities and experimental attempts, so you can have a deeper experience if you stop for a moment and appreciate the details.
Sejong Gallery Go-un
Located in Go-un-dong, Sejong City, Sejong Gallery Go-un is a complex art space where you can encounter various works by local artists. It serves as an open platform where local residents and artists communicate through exhibitions, workshops, and small-scale cultural programs in various genres such as painting, sculpture, and installation.
Observation Point
If you focus on appreciating the large-scale work with impressive blue horses and geometric patterns on the wall, you can feel the color and energy of the entire space at a glance.
You can enjoy a deeper appreciation if you slowly examine the rhythm created by the color contrast and patterns of the work, and the details hidden in the repetitive structure.
Gallery LEO
Located on Sejong Bareun-gil, Gallery LEO is an open space that introduces and shares a creative art world. Connecting social and environmental sensitivity with creative energy, it supports the activities of local artists through various exhibitions, seminars, and art consulting.
Observation Point
If you look at the colors and composition motivated by travel destinations, you can naturally imagine the atmosphere of each place.
Landscapes from different places and times are gathered in one space, giving you the feeling of following the 'artist's journey'.
If you look for details in scenes where nature and human traces intersect, such as flowers, the sea, and fields, the story of the work will come to you more richly.
Exhibition Space Saem, Jochiwon Culture Garden
Located in Jochiwon, Sejong, Exhibition Space Saem is located in the Jochiwon Culture Garden, a complex cultural space where nature and art harmonize. Artists of various genres present exhibitions, performances, and experience programs here, creating a place where local residents and art meet and communicate actively.
Observation Point
The gold paint on the wall catches the eye with its intense color and texture, and shows a variety of expressions depending on the angle of light.
The sculpture in the center evokes fragments of nature or the remains of a city, and it is fun to explore the message conveyed by the materials and shapes.
You can get a deeper impression if you look at the space as a whole and appreciate the contrast and harmony created by the paintings and sculptures together.
Zoom Gallery
Located near Gobok Reservoir in Sejong Special Self-Governing City,
Zoom Gallery is a unique exhibition space where tradition and modernity harmonize. Since its opening in May 2021, it has supported the creative activities of local artists,
and allows citizens to enjoy culture and art closely through various works such as painting, crafts, and installations.
Observation Point
Appreciate the landscape painting with Korean sentiment, the colors containing nature, and the 'white porcelain jar' work reinterpreted with a modern sensibility together.
The rich colors of yellow and the subtle gray and white tones create a contrast, giving the space a subtle energy.
If you look at the work with a perspective that crosses the boundaries of tradition and modernity, nature and humans, you can feel the artist's message more deeply.
Gallery 985
Located in Ssangnyu-ri, Yeonseo-myeon, Sejong, Gallery 985 is a base space for the creation and exchange of local artists. It was created based on an art village formed by artists who had been active since before the Sejong Government Complex was established, and continues to support the creation of local artists through solo exhibitions, group exhibitions, and residencies. It is a unique gallery where you can enjoy art in nature and appreciate the works as if taking a walk.
Observation Point
This exhibition focuses on paintings with the motif of life and nature, and the colorful colors and patterns that visualize branches catch the eye.
Observe the connection between the roots, stems, and leaves in the screen and think about the theme of 'growth and circulation' together.

Geumsu-dong Gallery
Opened in 2019, Geumsu-dong Gallery is a space for creation and exchange where art and nature coexist.
As a representative cultural space in Sejong, where exhibition, workshop, and collaboration programs are actively held where artists and citizens can freely communicate and experience across generations and genres,
it keeps its doors open so that anyone can experience art up close.
Observation Point
From minimalist sculptural works represented by yellow structures to small sculptures and installations with meticulous details,
you can experience a variety of senses in one place.
Works that cross tradition and modernity, plane and solid organically fill the gallery space,
so it is good to look at the sense of connection created by each work.
If you pay attention to the materials, colors, and spatial arrangement,
you can feel the artist's experimental spirit and creative process more deeply.
Ars Gallery
Ars Gallery, named after the Latin words 'Art' and 'Ars (technology and craft)', is a healing cultural space located in the countryside at the end of a quiet country road in Janggun-myeon. It is a unique gallery where you can spend time resting and creating while experiencing art in a nature-friendly atmosphere, and also holds various exhibitions, workshops, and experience programs.
Observation Point
In this exhibition, you can appreciate paintings that abstractly express nature, water, and the flow of light. The colors of blue and green convey comfort and relaxation.
If you look at the work up close, the layers of brushstrokes, textures, and colors are delicately revealed, making it fun to find hidden patterns and messages in the abstraction.
If you slowly look at the works in the calm atmosphere unique to the gallery located in the countryside, you can feel 'healing in art' more deeply.
Gallery Hill
Located in Janggun-myeon, Sejong City, Gallery Hill is an open exhibition space where artists and visitors can naturally interact and share their art world.
The harmony between the rest space and the exhibition space allows you to appreciate art and gain creative inspiration in a comfortable atmosphere.

Works of various colors and themes are displayed side by side on one wall, allowing you to compare and appreciate different personalities at a glance.

Sophia Gallery
Sophia Gallery, which began with the start of Sejong City, is a complex cultural space that values emotional value while enjoying art with nature.
Located in a quiet village in Geumnam-myeon, it provides visitors with a special experience where they can encounter art in nature and relax.
Observation Point
In this exhibition, intense portraits that capture the expressions and life stories of people catch the eye.
Feel the energy given by the red background and detailed description up close.
If you carefully examine the facial expressions and surrounding details in the work, you can more deeply empathize with the emotions and messages the artist wants to convey.
The space itself is quiet and highly focused, so it is good to spend a long time in front of the work and take the time to read the 'story of people and life'.
