The Seoul Archives is running a citizen experience program that converts citizens' video and audio cassettes into digital files.
Starting from May 26, we will recruit the first 100 participants through the Seoul Public Service Reservation.

Join the Seoul Archives' cassette and video tape conversion program to relive those memories!
What is the 'Reviving the Memories of Seoul Citizens' program?
This program allows citizens to digitally convert their personal recordings, such as VHS, 6mm, 8mm video tapes, and audio cassettes, into digital files.
It is a citizen participation program that helps preserve old family memories and life records for future generations.
What is the schedule and application process for the cassette and video tape conversion program?
Operation Period: June 8 (Mon) to June 26 (Fri)
Location: Seoul Archives, 1st Floor Experience Room
Application Date: Starting May 26 (Tue) at 10 AM
Application Method: Through the Seoul Public Service Reservation website (first-come, first-served for 100 participants)
Even citizens who find it difficult to visit during the day can participate in the evening programs, which will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
What types of cassettes and video tapes can be converted into digital files?
The first 100 participants will use the digital equipment provided by the Seoul Archives to convert their recordings into files.
Available Recordings:
- VHS video tapes
- 6mm video tapes
- 8mm video tapes
- Audio cassettes
Each participant can apply for up to 2 items.
Converted files can be saved on a USB or external hard drive.
This is a great opportunity to revisit precious family memories!
