Pocheon City has some exciting news!
The 'Hantan River Media Art Park Project' has won the Grand Prize in the Public Design category at the 31st Korea Best Design Awards 2025.
The award-winning 'Hantan River Media Art Park' features specialized nighttime content that integrates light, video, and media art with the natural landscapes of the Hantan River, a UNESCO Global Geopark.
This project has received high praise for its design, which minimizes environmental impact while allowing citizens and visitors to safely and conveniently experience the geological, ecological, and cultural values of the Hantan River.
With this award, Pocheon City plans to expand tourism content centered around the Hantan River and continue improving urban landscapes through public design.
Currently, the Hantan River Media Art Park is progressing through its second phase, which connects the Hantan River Sky Bridge to the Dove Falls, with a goal to open all sections by May this year.
