What kind of companies are in Paju, and what products are being made?
Living in Paju, there are fewer opportunities to engage with local businesses and products than one might think.
Last weekend, I attended the 3rd Paju City Business Expo held at the Imjingak Plaza parking lot.
From household goods and food to board games and industrial technology products, I encountered a variety of Paju companies.
Not only could I browse the products, but I also enjoyed purchasing and experiencing them firsthand. ๐
Let me introduce you to the scene of the 3rd Paju City Business Expo!
The expo took place from September 18 to 20, 2026, for three days at Imjingak Plaza parking lot.
The operational hours were from 10 AM to 5 PM.
I visited on the last day, Sunday, September 20, around 1 PM.
Upon checking the guide map, I noticed booths organized by categories, such as living, health, handmade products, food, tech, social economy companies, and business support organizations.
In addition to the large indoor exhibition hall, there were several outdoor booths, allowing me to explore various products and technologies made in Paju all in one place.
When I visited, a performer who won first place in a singing competition came to entertain us, and there was also a raffle.
Everywhere visitors moved, there were product displays and experience programs, creating a bright and lively atmosphere.
One of the most interesting aspects of the expo was discovering the diverse range of products made in Paju.
One booth that particularly caught my attention was MindPlay, showcasing board games.
They offered games suitable for both parents and children, as well as those for friends and couples.
While exploring the products, I even received a board game as a gift.
After the expo, it was memorable to have a product I could enjoy at home.
I also visited booths selling household items, which were produced in Paju.
At the event, I was able to purchase items at relatively low prices.
After browsing various products, I bought a Miffy tumbler for 2,000 won.
It was refreshing to learn about products I usually wouldn't pay attention to, especially knowing they were made in Paju.
The expo featured not only household goods but also a variety of companies from different sectors.
From robotics and industrial technology companies to safe manufacturers, camping gear, and food companies, the product variety was extensive.
Normally, I wouldn't have had the chance to encounter these companies, but seeing the products and hearing their explanations made me realize, 'Wow, Paju has such companies.'
There was also a designated area for social economy companies, showcasing various local businesses.
The expo was not just about viewing products; it also offered hands-on experiences.
One of my favorite experiences was playing a game of Go with an AI.
This unique experience, playing against a robot rather than a person, was something I wouldn't usually encounter.
Nearby, there was also an archery experience using MR technology.
Unlike the formal atmosphere one might expect at a business expo, it was easy for anyone to participate and enjoy.
There were also entertainment devices, including a basketball game, making it a fun outing for families, friends, and couples.
Throughout the venue, there were small events for visitors to participate in.
After looking through the event pamphlet, I found programs like a prize event, a hidden word search, and photo opportunities with the mascot.
I participated in the hidden word event and received a prize.
At another booth, I joined an SNS event and received a board marker.
After exploring the moving tourist information booth, I received a souvenir keyring.
It was enjoyable to discover local tourism information while exploring the expo.
The 3rd Paju City Business Expo took place at Imjingak Plaza parking lot.
During the event, shuttle bus services for visitors were available.
I arrived by car, but the regular parking lot was full, so I used a temporary parking area.
Since there were various booths inside and outside, it was more efficient to decide on areas of interest beforehand.
There were also resting areas available throughout the venue.
Through the 3rd Paju City Business Expo, I encountered a variety of products and companies from Paju that are usually hard to find.
From board games and household items to food and industrial technology, the range of products made in Paju was broader than I expected.
By not just looking at the products but also hearing explanations, experiencing them, and purchasing on-site, I became more familiar with local businesses.
Before attending the expo, I wasn't aware of the diverse products being made in Paju.
This event provided companies with a chance to showcase their products and technologies while allowing citizens to discover local businesses and products.
I hope that opportunities for companies and citizens to connect and communicate continue, allowing Paju's great companies and products to gain more recognition.
