2026 Tobacco Regulation Guidelines
Attention: Focused Guidance and Inspection on Tobacco Regulations in 2026!
With the amendment of the Tobacco Business Act, the definition of tobacco has been expanded from 'leaves of tobacco' to 'tobacco or nicotine'. This change will take effect from April 24, 2026, with a two-month guidance period ending on June 23, 2026.
In order to ensure compliance and establishment of community tobacco regulations under the National Health Promotion Act, we will conduct guidance and inspections as outlined below.

Non-smoking Areas
Tobacco Vending Machines (Retailers)
✅ Inspectors
Non-Smoking Guidance Personnel
✅ Inspection Items
Compliance with installation standards for tobacco vending machines
Compliance with facility standards for non-smoking areas and smoking rooms
Enforcement of smoking bans in non-smoking areas (including e-cigarettes)
