2025 Paju City's Life-Changing Project
Achievement Sharing Event Highlights
Hello, this is Paju Alimi!
On December 5th, I attended the Achievement Sharing Event for the [2025 Paju City's Life-Changing Project] held at the Paju North-South Forest Cooperation Center!
What is the Life-Changing Project?

The 2025 Paju City's 'Life-Changing Project' is a program that operates a lifelong learning center in collaboration with five major universities.
It offers tailored university lectures for citizens at administrative welfare centers in various towns and villages of Paju City.
The Life-Changing Project has successfully engaged many citizens through customized lectures that reflect local characteristics and actual needs.
The atmosphere was vibrant and energetic.
I also had the opportunity to attend a lecture in partnership with Ajou University in Unjeong 6-dong.
Experiencing it firsthand, I could easily understand why citizens expressed high satisfaction.
The event was more crowded than expected.
Before the main event began, I enjoyed refreshments and reviewed the achievement materials prepared by each town and village.
Awards were also presented to institutions and towns that contributed to the Life-Changing Project.
Dongguk University, Myongji University, Seoul National University, Ajou University, and Ewha Womans University received commendations for their cooperation and contributions.
Each university provided high-quality lectures for Paju citizens and played a significant role in promoting lifelong learning.
The Life-Changing Project has achieved great success with active citizen participation and high satisfaction.
Throughout the year, a total of 52 courses and various learning programs were conducted, with approximately 2,500 citizens experiencing the value of lifelong learning.
In 2026, Yonsei University, Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, and Sogang University are expected to join,
providing even more diverse and high-quality university lectures to enrich citizens' lives.
Video Screening of the Life-Changing Project
A video screening of the Life-Changing Project was conducted.
The video featured classroom scenes from five towns, moments spent exploring cultural heritage in Paju, and various scenes from the graduation ceremony.
Seeing the fleeting moments on screen brought back memories of the classes I participated in this year.
Presentation of Excellent Cases from Lifelong Learning Centers
Excellent cases from five lifelong learning centers were presented.
Unjeong 2-dong x Seoul National University introduced a citizen environmental education case focused on practical climate actions.
Munsan-eup x Myongji University shared an emotional recovery program titled 'Time Just for Me.'
Wollong-myeon x Dongguk University presented a meditation-based mental health program.
Unjeong 5-dong x Ewha Womans University showcased a parenting school focused on parental education.
Unjeong 6-dong x Ajou University conducted a cultural heritage exploration program in Paju.
After the presentations, the atmosphere shifted to a festival with the 'On Stage' concert featuring musical performances.
The concert began with a warm opening by Professor Kim Hye-young, followed by performances from musical actor Kim Do-ha and tenor Seo Beom-seok.
The event illustrated the new possibilities of lifelong learning in Paju City.
Following the concert, a special lecture titled 'Communication Stories that Open Happiness' was delivered by Professor Choi Hyun-jeong.
The lecture emphasized the importance of respectful communication and opening hearts in simple language.
The 2025 Achievement Sharing Event reaffirmed the value of lifelong learning, with various courses and programs changing citizens' lives.
Looking forward to 2026, I anticipate even more citizens participating and diverse universities collaborating to create another unique Life-Changing Project in Paju City!
