Hello! This is the Yellow Witch. Today, I'm sharing my visit to the popular pancake spot, Honest Pancake, in Yeonnam-dong.
It's been a while since I searched for dessert spots in Yeonnam-dong, and Honest Pancake had the most reviews among pancake and waffle places.
So, I decided to visit, and it was definitely worth it! Here's my detailed review.
Honest Pancake is located on Donggyo-ro 38-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul. It's not far from Hongdae Station, about a 10-minute walk from exit 3.
Being close was satisfying!
The entrance is quite unique. I've tried to visit a few times before, but it was always crowded, leading to a wait.
If you want to avoid waiting, I recommend going right after lunch.
As you can see from the menu, pancakes are the main offerings here.
Also, each person must order at least one drink, and during busy times, there is a 90-minute time limit, so keep that in mind!
The interior has about six tables, so arriving early is advisable. Honest Pancake is indeed the most famous pancake place in Yeonnam-dong.
The drink prices are not the cheapest, generally around 6,000 to 7,000 won. Refills are available for small drinks, but it seems that iced coffee does not have refills.
I decided to go with the basic pancake, as fruit-topped pancakes tend to get soggy over time.
After everything arrived, I took a picture. The presentation was beautiful, and it felt like a Western-style brunch cafe.
Although the prices are a bit steep, it was still enjoyable.
After cutting into the pancake, I found it delightful to eat. Honest Pancake offers a combination of soufflé and regular pancakes.
They serve three types of sauces: blueberry compote, butter, and maple syrup. The blueberry was my favorite!
As I enjoyed my meal, I felt even happier when I presented it nicely on the plate. The pancakes were delicious!
