Lunchbox Recommendations and Everyday Musings

I'm looking for lunchbox menu recommendations. There was a time when I packed lunch five times a week (thanks to Hyo-yeon...), and it made lunchtime feel so exciting. When I go out during the hour I have, I end up eating quickly, spending money, and rushing back to the office without taking a proper walk. Companies with cafeterias are the best!
I used to love the Lock & Lock slim lunchbox. I used it for about three months, but a major drawback was that food smells and colors would linger. I’m sensitive to smells, so I eventually had to throw it away. After extensive searching, I found a lunchbox that combines both design and practicality.
It's the Daerco 101A Lunchbox! It comes in a variety of styles, but I appreciated that it has a stainless-steel lid and is microwave-safe. Plus, it's a two-tier design, which is great for holding fruits or desserts, and the food arrangement feels much more natural compared to the slim lunchbox. My dad said it looks like a military food container, but I just think it's pretty.
It can hold rice, beef, zucchini pancakes, quail eggs, broccoli, and even a fried egg. I'm really satisfied with it. If the portion isn't too large, you can use just one tier. So far, I haven't found any significant downsides. I'll use this lunchbox for about three months and share my review.
Speaking of which, I also bought a book. If you're currently living in Gyeonggi-do, you can get a 10,000 won coupon for Aladin or Kyobo Bookstore through the Culture Pass. (But these days, with more subscribers, it's not easy to get the coupon.) I haven't seen the book yet since it's still in delivery, but I want to read it from start to finish while packing my lunch on weekends or early mornings.
The packaging is so neat. It really hits my taste!
I recently met up with my old classmates from Marit. Everyone is doing great, and I even received a Ddukkong. But I ended up eating katsu three times in a row starting from that day, haha. We went in this order: Jeongdon > Soba Workshop > Ojeje, and so far, Ojeje's tender katsu has been the most delicious.
On my way to a meeting, the weather warmed up, and I felt great, so I wore a coat. (But why is it so cold on weekends?) At work, I wear a long padded coat, the same slacks, and a cardigan that I rotate every four days, but I made an effort to wear jeans and dress shoes for a change... I just want to have fun like this sometimes.
With the nice weather, I walked an hour to my old neighborhood to have hotteok. It was so delicious. I have fond memories of the hotteok from Namdaemun Market, but it's been too long since I last went. I should visit again when spring comes.
It's a very neat calendar that returns every 823 years. I realized I was living in an amazing February...
I also finished three years of Pilates recently. They renovated the facilities, making them much better. Now, I'm thinking about moving to a gym to build muscle. However, I awkwardly told my instructor that I would come back soon instead of saying goodbye. If I keep procrastinating and don’t even go for a gym consultation, I might end up re-registering for Pilates, haha.
On Wednesday evening, I tried to join a waiting list for a popular restaurant but ended up going somewhere else. I was controlling my diet, but after eating a lot, I suddenly gained weight. Luckily, I managed to get back on track by packing only tomato and egg stir-fry for lunch for two consecutive days. Oh, and after cutting out flour for three weeks, my stomach has flattened, which feels like a miracle. I should do that again soon.
I'm slowly starting to understand my eating habits. I have a hard time resisting food when I see it, so it's better for me to stay in an isolated state. If I don't see food, I naturally seek out healthy options! So, I'm consciously trying to limit myself to no more than two appointments a week.
Buying a lot of books makes me feel good.
I met my younger sibling, who I hadn't seen in a while through a conference. They are still cheerful, and I heard various stories, including the shocking news that ballet can easily lead to calf cramps (I had considered doing ballet at one point). Anyway, it was fun.
I went shopping here and there like a jobless person.
Three years ago, my tutor's mom gave me a 30,000 won Starbucks coupon. I didn't have any particular use for it, so I kept extending it until suddenly I felt inspired and took my mom and sibling to Starbucks, where we indulged in drinks, three cakes, and sandwiches. It had been a long time since I experienced that feeling of my stomach turning from eating too many desserts, but I realized that small happiness is right in front of me! It was a delightful weekend.
The weather is fluctuating, but seeing warm days suddenly appear makes it feel like the harsh winter is coming to an end. As I keep repeating my weekdays, only looking forward to Fridays, I find myself spending more time without planning or thinking about the future. However, I'm grateful that I have this blog to express my thoughts in writing! I love blogging!
Instead of waiting for Fridays and feeling disappointed when the weekend passes quickly, or feeling despair when Monday comes around again, I’m trying to take better care of myself even on busy weekdays spent at work and find joy in eating my lunch. Did I mention my New Year’s resolutions? I'm not sure, but I hope everyone is steadily working on their goals this year. (Please share your updates in the comments...) That’s all for today. The end.
