Hapjeong Cafe: Jiteun - In Search of Quiet
Hello, I'm Jeong.
Before heading home, we wanted one more cup of coffee. So, we searched around the neighborhood for a place that wasn't too noisy and felt comfortable.
We were pretty full, so we decided to find a quiet place, which led us to Jiteun.
It's on the opposite side from Spacca Napoli. I don't know this area well, but Seoul is always crowded!
However, this street seemed relatively quiet.
The cafe wasn't very big, and there weren't many seats.
It had a quiet atmosphere, but the chairs weren't particularly comfortable.
I also had a cold, so the chairs felt even more uncomfortable.
Maybe the chairs were a bit too high?
At first, there weren't many customers, but it filled up as we were leaving.
But it wasn't a noisy cafe.
I think I saw that this place is famous for its baked goods.
Canelés...
Seoul canelés... It's been a while! Hahaha.
It looks just like the pictures, right?
The cakes also look beautiful.
We just had pizza, so I wasn't in the mood for more flour, so I couldn't order a cake...
But they look so pretty!
The wall had a unique interior design.
I took a picture because my friend's baby's name was written on it. Hehe.
The coffee was good.
I thought it would be expensive, but the coffee prices weren't too high and were reasonable.
Is that why it's Hapjeong? Hehe.
The canelé was...
Really...
Not just hard, but solid.
It wasn't easy to even make a hole with a knife...
And the texture was a bit chewy.
Canelés are known for being crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, so that was a bit disappointing.
But the visuals were great!
We left with about 5 spoonfuls of disappointment.
