A Sunday afternoon visit to Fashion5 in Hannam-dong turned into an eye-opening experience at one of the largest dessert cafes I’ve ever visited.
From jaw-dropping prices to genuinely high-quality desserts, the space felt like a true dessert theme park during the Christmas season.
Not every item was a hit, but the sheer variety and standout sweets made the visit memorable and worth sharing.
A Massive Dessert Cafe Near Hangangjin Station
Fashion5 is located just a two-minute walk from Exit 3 of Hangangjin Station, making it very easy to access.
I visited on a Sunday around 1 PM with one other person and ended up spending close to 70,000 KRW.
The cafe operates year-round from 7:30 AM to 10:00 PM, with the gelato cafe running from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
Parking includes one hour free with a purchase receipt, additional charges afterward, and valet parking available.

First Impressions and the Overwhelming Scale
Right at the entrance, there’s a small gelato and crepe cafe on the right.
The prices were already high, so I skipped that section and headed inside.
Once inside, the word that came to mind was dessert paradise.
During the Christmas season, beautifully decorated cakes filled the space and instantly caught my attention.
When Dessert Prices Make You Pause
Some whole cakes were priced as high as 160,000 KRW, which honestly made me laugh.
There were stuffed roll cakes and tiny slice cakes that looked beautiful but came with equally shocking prices.
Paying 20,000 KRW for a very small dessert definitely makes you think twice.
What We Chose From the Endless Options
After a lot of hesitation, we chose the snowman cake, a fruit tart, and a Dubai chocolate bar.
There were also cannelés, madeleines, custards, egg tarts, pies, financiers, and Dubai-style scones.
If you feel overwhelmed by the choices, checking the desserts marked as bestsellers really helps.
It honestly felt like there were hundreds of desserts available.
Seating, Ordering, and the Basement Cafe
The first floor has very limited seating and is almost entirely dedicated to dessert displays.
If you order a drink in the basement level, you’re allowed to bring desserts down from the first floor.
Once seated, staff come directly to your table to take drink orders.
I ordered an iced Americano for 7,500 KRW and a decaf Americano for 8,000 KRW.
The Snowman Cake Experience
We started with the snowman and Rudolph desserts.
The snowman cake alone costs 27,000 KRW, which still feels unbelievable.
To be honest, I’m not sure what I was thinking when I bought it.
That said, the taste was genuinely good.
The cream was light and clean, clearly made with high-quality ingredients.
Inside, there was strawberry and mango compote, and the outer shell was real chocolate, not decorative candy.
Still, I’d personally recommend skipping the snowman and getting three éclairs instead.
Hits and Misses From the Dessert Table
The Rudolph chocolate éclair was soft and rich, and definitely a highlight.
On the other hand, the maple French toast was a big disappointment.
Priced at 5,900 KRW, it was extremely hard, almost rock-like, and not enjoyable at all.
The fluffy towel strawberry cake, priced at 10,300 KRW, was excellent.
Filled with strawberries and cream, with a soft custard-like exterior, it was truly satisfying.
Final Thoughts on Fashion5 in Hannam-dong
Fashion5 truly lives up to its reputation as a dessert paradise in Hannam-dong.
The selection may change over time, but the sheer variety of desserts remains impressive.
Next time, I’d like to try the choux custard and milk pudding.
If you love exploring desserts and don’t mind premium pricing, Fashion5 is a place you’ll likely enjoy.
