Hello, this is reporter Kim Min-hye.
Geochang County is a city with clean air and beautiful mountains, making it an ideal place for enjoying water activities in nature.
As summer vacation approaches, many are considering water play. Let me introduce you to a free water play area in a pine forest.
Located across from Geochang Theater High School, this spot is perfect for dipping your feet in the cool valley water.
A stream flows between large stones, creating a picturesque scene. Sitting on one of those big rocks, dipping your feet while enjoying tasty snacks is a delightful experience!
Newly planted hydrangeas next to the pine forest add beauty to the previously plain area.
You can spread a mat under the pine trees and take a break for a while.
Samasol Forest is a lush pine forest near the Su-seungdae tourist site in Wicheon-myeon, Geochang County. In summer, it is famous for its cool shade and clear valley, attracting many visitors looking for a natural retreat.
Some people set up tents here, and while there is no electricity, it's perfect for a simple water play experience.
A washbasin is located above the stream, allowing visitors to clean their hands and feet after playing.
It truly feels like paradise under the shade of the pine trees.
There are separate restrooms and a parking area at the back.
Samasol Forest, with its dense pine trees, remains cool even in the height of summer. The clear and shallow valley is great for children to enjoy water play.
This space is free to use and is popular among those who enjoy camping or car camping.
Address: 363 Janggi-ri, Wicheon-myeon, Geochang-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do.
