A must-visit destination when traveling!
It's the night market :)
During my recent trip, I visited the Temple Street Night Market, which is conveniently located in Tsim Sha Tsui.
Here, I was able to see traditional clothing, popular "I Love Hong Kong" t-shirts, and a variety of delicious street food!
❤️ I also visited a traditional dessert shop featured in the Michelin Guide, and it was incredibly unique and tasty.
The Temple Street Night Market may not be very large, but I wanted to experience the local atmosphere.
You might also consider visiting the nearby Mong Kok Night Market and Ladies' Market, as they are not too far apart.
I had dinner before going, so I only had time to visit Temple Street.
It typically operates from around 2 PM to 11 PM, but hours may vary by vendor, so it's a good idea to check Google Maps before you go!
As a representative night market of Hong Kong, it was bustling even late at night, but it was manageable to explore in about an hour.
The market's signature feature is the colorful lights strung above, which change from street to street, making it delightful to wander around.
One memorable spot at the market was the Kai Kai Dessert shop.
As I approached, I noticed a long line of locals waiting, so I decided to take a look.
They sell traditional desserts that were quite intriguing and new to me.
I ordered a dessert that resembled a sweet rice porridge with various fruit flavors, and it was delicious!
However, it was quite pricey at 46 HKD, equivalent to about 9,000 KRW!
I later learned that it's a Michelin-recommended restaurant, so it was worth it.
The market also has many street food stalls reminiscent of traditional markets in Korea.
I enjoyed a refreshing milk tea, which tasted similar to what I have in Korea.
Many visitors seem to look for the "I Love Hong Kong" t-shirts as souvenirs, and I wanted one before heading to Disneyland!
The market offers a variety of mini bags and other souvenirs too.
I also noticed many traditional clothes available for purchase, which would make for unique souvenirs.
The Temple Street Night Market is located near Jordan Station, and there are plenty of bus stops nearby, making it easy to reach.
From the Tsim Sha Tsui Clock Tower, it took about 10 minutes by bus.
Overall, the Temple Street Night Market is a delightful experience filled with sights, sounds, and tastes of Hong Kong!
