A Visit to VGG Cafe by Seokchon Lake
서울특별시 송파구 석촌호수로 290 3층

A cozy dessert café with a lake view, VGG Cafe is located right in front of Seokchon Lake. This review covers the atmosphere, desserts, seating, and why it’s one of the best cafés in Jamsil and Songridan-gil.
Why I Visited VGG Cafe
I’ve lived in Jamsil for over 10 years and have visited Seokchon Lake and Songridan-gil countless times. Surprisingly, this was my first visit to VGG Cafe.
While Jamsil has many cafés, it’s not easy to find one that combines a cozy atmosphere, good desserts, spacious seating, and a pleasant window view. VGG turned out to be exactly that place.
Location & Cafe Atmosphere
VGG Cafe is located right in front of Seokchon Lake, offering a relaxing view of the lake and surrounding trees through its large windows.
The interior is stylish yet comfortable, with plenty of space between tables. It’s a place where both quiet solo visitors and groups can feel at ease.
Desserts & Drinks
One of the highlights of VGG Cafe is its wide dessert selection. From Brown Cheese Croffle to Matcha Chocolate Cake, Cookie Crumble Cake, Earl Grey Cake, Lemon Cake, and even trendy butter bars, the dessert lineup is visually impressive and tempting.
We ordered an Iced Americano, Chamomile Tea, and the Brown Cheese Croffle. Even at a glance, the croffle looked rich, chewy, and indulgent.
Vibe, Seating & Who This Cafe Is For
The spacious seating makes VGG Cafe ideal for long conversations. During our visit, some guests were quietly reading or working on laptops, while others enjoyed chatting over desserts.
Even on a weekday afternoon, the café was lively, but fortunately there was no waiting when we arrived around 2 PM.
Final Thoughts
After living in Jamsil and Bangi-dong for over a decade, VGG Cafe reminded me that there are still hidden gems around Seokchon Lake.
With its lake view, cozy atmosphere, generous seating, and excellent desserts, VGG Cafe is a place I will definitely revisit.
If you’re walking around Seokchon Lake or exploring Songridan-gil, I highly recommend stopping by VGG Cafe.
