A Memorable Trip to Fukuoka with My Mom and Sister

Our trip to Fukuoka with my mom and sister was too short, just 2 nights and 3 days.
It felt great to explore freely since the kids have grown up so much. Time flew by as we ate, shopped, and enjoyed hot springs.
We kept eating and shopping, with no time for our stomachs to settle and our wallets always open.
This trip was satisfying in direct proportion to what we purchased. Now that we're back home, I regret not buying more.
Tip: I highly recommend the sweet potatoes from Don Quijote and the rayu sauce.
We stopped by Makizu to buy kids' clothes near Hakata Station. While Makizu had great options, other shops also offered children's clothing at much cheaper prices than in Korea. There were so many beautiful items, it was overwhelming, so be careful with your wallet!
While the pawnshops had plenty of items, finding reasonably priced ones in good condition was challenging. However, if you look closely, you might find some gems. I recommend deciding on specific items before you go; otherwise, everything might seem useless.
Fukuoka seems to be a city of waiting, with many small shops where waiting for an hour is common. We didn't want to wait, so we just entered the first places we saw.
Everything we tried, from eel to ramen, yakitori, and sushi, was delicious. You don't necessarily need to go to famous spots.
While I loved the donuts from 'I'm Donut', I was most impressed by the fresh chocolate pie from the convenience store.
Here are some highlights from our trip:
- Seiryu Onsen (don't forget your towel)
- Kurudaya Eel Rice Bowl at Ohashi Station (cash only)
- Takayama Pawnshop (Meinohana location, remember your passport)
- Tenjin Minami
- Ichiran Tenjin (spicy recommended, credit cards accepted)
- Okura Hotel
After breakfast, we visited 'I'm Donut' (arrived at 9:40 AM, waited 40 minutes).
We shopped at Hakata Station (Hankyu + Amu Plaza) but had a hard time finding Amu Plaza and Amu Darny. Although tax refunds are available, we gave up because it was too difficult.
We tried a sushi place in the basement (gave up on Sushi Sashisa and just went to any place).
After buying various desserts, we headed back to the hotel for some shopping at Don Quijote and enjoyed yakitori at Toritan in Nakasu, where smoking is still allowed in restaurants, making it a bit tough to enjoy the meal.
