A Hopeful Start to 2026

♡ ~ HAPPY NEW YEAR ~ ♡
Hello everyone!
It's the Year of the Red Horse in 2026!
I hope this year is filled with hope and joy, just like the famous steed from the Three Kingdoms.
The thumbnail image is a postcard I found at a prop shop while visiting an exhibition earlier this January. It was so beautiful that I took it from their website.
How about it? Don't you want to leap forward with hope?
Now, it's mid-February, and I'm just writing about my January experiences. (In fact, February is almost over!)
I feel like I've stumbled a bit already, but I’ll keep running this year, even if I drag one leg behind.
Let’s go, no more hesitation!
On December 31, I went to my in-laws' house and woke up late after a long sleep. We decided to visit my mother-in-law's friend's house.
We also explored a beautiful church nearby. The light pouring into the quiet church was so stunning that we spent a long time admiring it.
The playroom and cafe built next to the church were also incredibly cute.
My mother-in-law's friend's house is a second home but quite substantial!
I was hungry since I hadn't had breakfast, but the sweet potatoes they served were beautiful. They melted in my mouth, and I ended up eating a whole one!
We originally planned to drive for about an hour to eat grilled fish, but my mother-in-law's friend's family joined us, so we went to a nearby grilled fish restaurant instead.
Oh, it was so delicious! Every side dish was amazing, especially the seasoned bellflower root.
The cats were adorable too. I truly love this place!
The next evening, I went to a gathering I cherish. I found a cute cafe to visit before our meeting time. I ordered what I thought was the signature drip coffee, but it turned out to be a sweet drink... sad story!
We also went to a pizza place that my friend, who resembles a cute puppy, suggested. The portions were huge, and the fries were delicious!
We exchanged gifts under 15,000 won, and I received a hand wash. It was so nice to meet after a long time!
On Saturday, I wanted to relax at home, but I ended up going out to Hongdae. I finally visited an exhibition I had booked a long time ago.
The spiral wooden staircase was beautiful, but I wondered how they clean it...
After exploring, I went to a small props shop nearby and got some masking tape.
I ended up walking around and found a cafe where I read a book.
I had a lovely time with my friends, and I can't wait to meet again in June!
