Yongsan Itaewon day trip with sibling Sam Sam Sam exterior

A long-awaited day out in Yongsan and Itaewon with my younger sibling who came from afar.

From popular restaurants to cozy cafés and trendy streets, it was a full day of food, walking, and exploration.

Yongsan Day Out Begins

It was a long-awaited outing with my younger sibling, exploring Yongsan and Itaewon together.

We visited places we had been curious about for a long time, making it a refreshing day for me, someone who usually prefers staying at home.

Sam Sam Sam – A Popular Yongsan Restaurant

Our first stop was Yongsan, where I finally got to visit Sam Sam Sam, a place I had seen many times but never managed to try.

The exterior felt festive, almost like Christmas, and despite arriving around 11 AM on a Sunday, there were already about five teams waiting.

Since my sibling was running late, I waited nearby and thankfully got seated shortly after noon.

Waiting Time at Acorn Café

While waiting, I stopped by Acorn Café, a place I had saved on my list.

The café was extremely cute, and I was tempted by the acorn bread with strawberry, but held back since I hadn’t eaten yet.

They also sell Greek yogurt, and the menu had a wide variety of cakes and yogurt options.

Even though I usually avoid hot coffee, the coffee here was surprisingly delicious.

Lunch at Sam Sam Sam

Once inside, the vibe was definitely hip, though the space felt small and noisy.

Fortunately, I was seated outdoors, which made the experience more comfortable.

The tableware was adorable, making me wish they were for sale.

Instead of the popular two-person set, I ordered separately because I wanted lasagna and jambon pasta.

The jambon pasta was visually stunning and packed with flavors I couldn’t recreate at home.

Although lasagna seemed to be the most famous dish, I personally preferred the jambon pasta.

Teddy Bear House & Hannam-dong Walk

After lunch, we stopped by Teddy Bear House nearby.

The interior was incredibly cute and perfectly matched my taste.

Since it had already been a long day, I held back while my sibling enjoyed some pastries.

We then took a taxi to a trendy market area in Hannam-dong, walking through charming streets and taking mirror selfies along the way.

Itaewon Exploration & Final Thoughts

We continued on to Itaewon, enjoying the trees and browsing various shops.

By the end of the day, we had walked over 20,000 steps and were completely exhausted.

Even though being a homebody makes outings feel extra tiring, I was genuinely happy to get out, explore, and spend quality time together.
