Urban 30 Yeonnam: A Hidden Gem Wine Bar in Hongdae/Yeonnam-dong Perfect for Dates and Gatherings
Hello! Lately, I've been indulging in solo drinks and exploring various wine and cocktail bars with a great atmosphere.
During my search, I received a recommendation for a wine bar in the Hongdae/Yeonnam-dong area known for its great ambiance, perfect for dates and gatherings.
I saved it, and recently, I had some free time on the weekend, so I decided to visit Urban 30 Yeonnam while I was in the Hongdae/Yeonnam-dong area.

I visited on foot, and it took about 10-15 minutes to walk from Hongik University Station (Line 2, Exit 3).
Urban 30 Yeonnam is tucked away in an alley, so it was a little tricky to find, but when I finally arrived, I was greeted by a mirror sign with cute lettering.
The place looked so trendy and had such a great vibe that I was really excited.
Urban 30 Yeonnam is located on the basement level, and the entrance has a slightly European feel.
Tables and chairs are arranged nicely, and as you walk down, you can see wine bottles displayed, which confirms that it's a popular spot as recommended for dates and gatherings in Hongdae/Yeonnam-dong.
It made me think that many people had visited before.
On the wall leading down, there were black and white prints of wine-related photos, which were also very stylish.
Even on the way down the stairs, there were posters and candles, mirrors, wine, and even books on the shelves, creating a unique atmosphere that felt like a European restaurant, which I really liked.
The atmosphere was so nice that I took a picture in front of the mirror.
I think many women would take pictures here.

The store has glass doors, and inside, there are tables for two and four people.

Next to the counter, there were wine glasses and lights, which created a cozy atmosphere.
The store has a dim atmosphere, which makes the lights shine subtly and attractively.
The refrigerator display contains beer, olives, and wine, and the lights shine through the glass, constantly catching my eye.
Next to it, there is a table with water, cups, wet wipes, and tissues.
This space is also well-decorated to match the interior.
The interior design using wine bottle posters and light bulbs is neither excessive nor lacking, which I really liked.
I want to recommend Urban 30 Yeonnam, a great wine bar for dates and gatherings in Hongdae/Yeonnam-dong, to my friends.
It felt like my own secret hideout with a coat rack, decorative wine bottles, and candles.
I want to promote it to my friends as a good place for blind dates.
I sat in the seat I wanted, and there was a QR code on each table, which you can use to order and pay.
Each seat had plates, cutlery, wine glasses, and lights, which made the atmosphere perfect for a date.
There were pens on each table that you could use to write on the wine glasses.
I was excited to finally do this, as I had only seen it on social media before.

The drinks came out, and they gave me wine glasses.
As soon as I received the wine glasses, I wrote on them with different colored pens, which was surprisingly fun.
Although I lack aesthetic sense, I felt good every time I drank from it.
The amount of sangria was quite large compared to the snack, so I also chose the olives that were given for writing a review.
The olives were really good to eat with sangria, and the slightly salty taste made it heavenly to cleanse my palate with sangria.
It was summer, so I was excited to wait for the snack while drinking the cold, sweet, and tangy sangria.
After waiting, the s'more & cookie came out.
Actually, I wanted to eat the nacho & ragu snack, but they said they didn't have the ingredients, so I picked this instead.
After everything came out, I was ready to eat.
The s'more can be eaten warm until the end with something like a candle underneath, but the plate was hot, so I had to be careful.
I didn't expect the s'more & cookie and sangria combination to be good, but it was surprisingly compatible.
I realized why Urban 30 Yeonnam is famous, as the snack & wine combination was great.
The bowl is deep, so be sure to scoop up the chocolate with the spoon they gave you.
Otherwise, the cookie will keep breaking.
The chocolate inside has a Nutella-like texture, so it's chewy, which makes the cookie break.
I watched the marshmallow stretch and sipped on my drink, and it was gone in no time.
When drinking alcohol at a bar, the bathroom is essential.
There is a paper posted in front of the store entrance.
The bathroom is up the stairs and to the left.
It was clean and smelled good, so I was very satisfied.
In the maze-like alleyways of Hongdae/Yeonnam-dong, this wine bar has a great atmosphere.
It's also good for gatherings, and you can rent the entire place for parties, so I recommend you to visit it.
